I'm really impressed with the Kayfil tool. What a great little gizmo.
The flavor on the KFL+ V2 had started to fade, from it's usual spectacular, so I figured it was time for a burn & re-wick. It still had about a half full tank. I had just received a couple of Kayfil tools a few weeks ago, and gave it a test whirl on a clean, empty KFL when I got them. Today was my first 'live tank' trial and it worked surprisingly well.
I'm not a speed wicker. I take my time. The half full tank sat on the Kayfil for 15 - 20 minutes, while I pulled the old wick, did a burn & rinse, re-wicked & primed. Nothing leaked out of the tank while it was sitting there. When I was done, there may have been 2 drops worth of juice on the shaft of the tool. Easy wipe off, and back in business. Tank was still half full, with no mess.
A well spent couple of bucks at FastTech, in my book.
