Hey, I bought those XTank 4 coils too but got my Melo 3 tank just today. Obviously tried that coil and it's not firing - "Check atomizer". Checked the coil with multimeter and got 0.6 Ohm readings so the coil is good.

The only culprit I can come up with would be that coil is somewhat short and not touching the bottom of the Melo base part.

Grandmato, any suggestions?

Have you tried the Melo 3 tank on another mod or two ? Sounds like you've most likely have a problem with the tank's 510 connection pin not making contact with the mod's 510 pin. I'd try other mods first to see if it works on them. You may need to gently, using fingernails or a pin to pull the pin out a bit. Gentle being the key word here

I also spent $11.47 this week at FT. Kayfun V5 insulators, pole plates,drip tips and centre posts.Thought i would stock up on spares while i still can.I have 8 clones now with another on the way.Should have enough spare parts and o rings to last me a lifetime!

I spent a whopping $11 this week at FT.... 2 Griffin parts kits, 3 Griffin replacement glass tanks and 100 premade 0.5ohm 24ga kanthal coils.

Re: the coils.... just over $0.05 each for a very well reviewed 100 pack of coils in the resistance I use in my Subtank Minis is a no brainer. I have well over 1000 feet of wire, but I can't make a coil for $0.05!

My spending has slowed down considerably. I am now just buying when things are so cheap, it makes sense to add to the stockpile. Even then, my buying days are coming to an end as I have so much gear.

Got the new 2 x 40w and 2 x 70w tesla mods I ordered. Roomie likes the 40w so far but had to use the spacers/adapters that came with the 70w to get the cubis and cubis pro high enough to use/fill easily. Anyone know where I can order a few more of those tesla spacers cheap? I assume some site might have them cheaper than direct and I can't even seem to get on the teslacigs site for some reason right now.

I only MTL and find the airflow fine.I bought the MTL kit and i use it in one of mine but i do not bother with the other two in rotation.I have no idea why people find it too airy.

I may try it in the near future, for the height, looks, and i'm assuming taste, you really can't go wrong

Nah, she has been vaping and smoke free for over 6 months. Even though I went bonkers buying vape gear this year, it's still less than the $600/mo we were spending on smokes!

When I started I could only tolerate about 2 ml per day of liquid and needed 18mg nic. These days I'm at 5-7 ml a day and 10 mg nic. Was gradually reducing nic until the process was disrupted by new work place restritions so I'm stuck at 10 for now.

(Right now I'm procrastinating on finishing my stocking plan. My luck is the second I'm done I'll notice something I should have done different, meaning not done after all, meaning more money spent on stuff I might never need.)

The Melo tank with XTank coil reads zero Ohms using my meter or any mod but has no problem with coils that came with the tank.
So that's why my guess is that XTank coil doesn't touch the bottom of the base it's screwed in due to being shorter than the coil designed for this tank.

But XTank coils are working for you, you're lucky!

Yep, just picking up parts or a high end Pinoy Mod or RDA now and again. I'm glad my panic buying is over. Massive amounts of gear, nic and even quality wire so I'm set. FDA can kiss my.......

Not going to stock up on anything. I believe if there is anything worth hoarding years worth of supplies to ensure continued use it might be a problem lol. Don't get me wrong I love my vape I really really do. But if it comes down to it I guess I will just quit . If the tobacco companies were facing a similar situation which I really wish they were I would not run out and buy 20 years worth of smokes. I hate that this is even an issue , what a damn shame considering what we now know aND also what we dont. I find it criminal to take something like this away from those who need it or may have been able to use it in the future to get off the nasty smokes , which nobody disputes are the most dangerous , deadly , consumer product ever let loose on society. Still though I won't be a slave to any of it . If it's gone it's gone , unfortunate as it may be . It really makes me mad but I won't be stock piling anything.

But XTank coils are working for you, you're lucky!

Just curious, are you using the Melo 3 or Melo 3 mini? I've not had any problem using the xtank coils with my Melo 3 mini. It shouldn't matter which tank since they are suppose to take the same coils but if they're not working for you there is a problem somewhere. Your guess makes sense except if mine work without any problems so should yours. Hope we can figure it out for you.

I love Vaping which includes the hobby side of it. I also really enjoy the majority of the Vaping community, I'll be damned if I'm going to allow a few bought and paid for Puppet Politicians and their tools take it away from me.

I support banning ecigs if tobacco is also banned. They won't do that because this is about the money, not anybody's health. One of my relapses came after 10 years. That must not happen again. A 20 year supply of cigarettes would cost me $60,000 . 10 years of ecig supplies, not counting generic items, will cost $650 and may be last 20 years if nic will keep that long. So there's ecig slavery or tobacco slavery. It's not a hard choice for me.

I wonder if vapers were over represented in the vote for Trump. I don't know if he will save vaping but I voted for him anyway because if I have to be miserable I want company. That turned out to be prophetic.

I get what U are saying but anyone that enjoys vaping should at least throw a litre or two of nic in the freezer. Just to avoid the inevitable taxation that is coming.

It shouldn't matter which tank since they are suppose to take the same coils but if they're not working for you there is a problem somewhere. Yeah, it's a Melo 3 mini.

Oh, and I managed to make it work by pulling the very first bottom part of XTank coil out by couple millimeters.
Also, according to my research, these coils will fit Triton1 & 2/ Herakles/ Melo2/ Ijust2 tanks.
Do you know any other compatible tanks?

Anyway, problem solved and thanks to you I have 200 usable XTank coils in my stash.
