Sure, there's a possibility that we're all over-reacting.

But it's a real comfort for me to know that I already have everything I really need to vape for the rest of my life. I sleep like a baby with no worries. :)
How are we over reacting?

Prepping is a win win situation.

If the worst happens and you have prepped. No worries

If you prepped and nothing happens yoy were going to use the stuff anyway; you saved by avoiding inflation and increased taxes.

I just don't see a lose in this formula

Things buried in tge ground are in the dark, and a constant 54 degrees.
You have to dig pretty deep to get constant temp.

To dissuade kids, how about a plastic ammo box with a small padlock on it, put in the main fridge or freezer?

It's not just the nic base either. They're already restricting flavorings that have higher than a certain % of ethyl alcohol in them...from being sent USPS. Several vendors have already emailed and said nic base and higher EA flavorings have to go by UPS Ground now from them.
Thanks for confirmation. I heard they will not ship nic higher than 61 mg ml

Thats where we are different. I woukd not keep 1 liter in a glass bottle.

I never said keep 1L in a glass bottle! I said if her glass bottles were coming Tuesday, why not just put it all in glass bottles? Never said a size! :)

I broke all of my own down in 170mL or smaller bottles for my freezer.

Earthquake

Kids or grand kids rummaging tge freezer for ice cream you could lose your nic

Would never consider glass unless it was in a seperate freezer tge kids and grand kids weren't allowed in.
Wow I never even thought of an earthquake!

For what it's worth, after I filled my glass bottles I rewrapped them in the bubble wrap that they shipped in, then wrapped in foil, then placed each bottle in its own Ziploc freezer bag.

Put it glass.

Are you sure?

I have this one, although it seems to be out of stock right now, and is a bit more expensive now than it was when I bought it:

It fits happily under a desk:

I just got done using one bottle that was 150ml ( took a few months) the last bit of nicotine was starting discolor, is this normal?
Flavor was fine

It's not the HDPE bottle that would be a problem to freeze. They're rated for much lower temps. than any freezer, even a commercial one, is capable of reaching. It's their CAPS that are usually PP, and not recommended for use below 32F!

What if you put Saran Wrap over the top before closing?

I pulled it from the freezer and let it thaw in the fridge, then left it in the kitchen cabinet and pulled it out every 3 weeks to make ejuice.
I just assumed opening it every 3 weeks for a few months is what made is start discolor.

It's possible that little of what we fear will come to pass. Likely? No. But possible.

It's also possible that some of us will wean ourselves off nic entirely, right? ;)

No argument. You're talking to a guy who has vape stuff caches in three different states. :D

IMO, it depends on where you had it, and how often you opened it to make eliquids. If it was kept at room temp. and opened about once a week or even every 2 weeks...I'd say alittle discoloration over a few months would be normal. No big deal though, IMO.

I keep a small working bottle of nic (about 60mL) in my mixing case (at room temp.), and a 150mL bottle in my fridge that I refill it from. Neither has changed color that I can see at all, when I draw it up in a syringe to make my eliquids.

It has a polycone top
It kinda reminds me of how tea leaves are stored, if you leave the tin half full the tea starts to break down from all the air, so you need to keep the tin full to keep the tea from breaking down.

Earthquakes are not a worry in any of my locations. You do as you wish, but for long-term storage, I trust glass far more than plastic. Plastic has been known to leech things. Nicotine itself may attack some plastics in the long run. Some plastics are fairly permeable to oxygen.

We're talking but not.communicating.

Glass gets brittle in the freezer. A few accidental clinks and your nic is destroyed.

The only way I would store nic in glass is bubble wrap it so it can't break.

As a test i took a bottle or Prickly Pear Juice in tge freezer for 18 months. I dropped it from four feet onto a hard Wood floor. The bottle bounced with 0 damage. I looked very close.

Kept at room temp. after thawing in the fridge...I could see where alittle discoloration would happen, using some of it every 2-3 weeks or so. No biggie, IMO.

It doesnt have to be an earthquake. It could be 82 year old Aunt Edna stumbling and falling against the freezer or little Johnny start throwing things around to get that last ice cream sandwich.
