Took advantage of the code today even though I ordered from them Sunday. They DO have the best prices for coils that's for sure.

Just thought I'd share what MFS responded to when I posed the question about nic expiration. They said it would last "many years" if stored in a dark, cool environment and if frozen , the response was as follows. I know this is not new information but I wanted to share it nonetheless. Just in case you're interested.

Anybody have the Griffin 22mm? Mine came in last week.

The grub screws on this thing are junk, as well as the deck posts. All my grub screws were so tight I thought I'd strip them getting them loose. I got them all out after wetting them with PG and putting them back in, hoping to smooth and polish the threads by doing that. They went in hard and one seized (not cross threaded). All the time I was waiting for the pop that says the flats went round in the screws.

So, after removing and replacing them I decided to install a coil. Three came out fine and the 4th wouldn't budge. I never got it out, careful as I was not to strip the flats. Finally, POP! The flats rounded and it's toast.

The first thing I noticed about the deck was that one post was curved slightly. The other was perfectly straight. The Grub screw that stripped was in the curve of the post. That probably cause it to lock down.

I have an email into VaporRange tech support. Hopefully, they will send me a deck or a new atomizer. I have never had an issue with deck screws in any one of my large box of atomizers, other than the Kayfun phillips cross slots getting rounded after a year or two of builds. Even then, a pair of good pliers with turn them.
I have a few in use and have never had any issues with the grub screws in mine, but i also have several in my stock pile that i got from VaporRange and have never used yet,now i want to go through them and make sure i don't have any issues with those ones before i get to the point that i need them.

Just talked to the owner of RockyMountainVapor on the phone, in relation to another thread and a mod someone wanted. He told me his 30% off coupon code that's been running since Thanksgiving would be lower to probably 20% later this week.

So, if anyone wants a Pico for $21 after 30% off, or Eleaf 40W TC for $24.50 after 30% off, or anything else they've got a really good deal on with the code turkey...you might want to go to get it in the next few days! FREE S/H kicks in at only $14, too!

Ever consider hex head screws?

They're all I'll use.

If you are trying to use the allen wrench included with most attys, they are notoriously undersized and low quality steel. Between the cheap driver and low quality screws they will round over easily.
The best investment I've made is better quality drivers. I went with MIP Thorp brand, Hudy is good but more expensive. I have a Wiha set also, they are a big step up, but prefer the Thorps (guaranteed for life).
EDS is also worthy of mention.

For these tools, I'll only use EDS, MIP/Thorpe or HUDY.

Nothing else comes close IMO. Not even Wiha.

I ordered a 1.3mm Wiha from Amazon last night along with some other stuff. It all gets here March 2nd.

On the up side, I created a ticket with Vapor Range this morning. By 2pm EST they had emailed me back apologizing for the issue (and the warped post) and said they are sending me a new Griffin 22mm. They said to keep the old one instead of sending it back. Great people at Vapor Range. They've been on my short list of quality vendors for a while.

I really do think that the deck posts could be better quality. All 4 screws were power driven in and I was lucky to get three out without stripping them. I agree that the cheap Allen wrenches are par for "free stuff" that's included with a product these days.

One of the deck posts had a noticeable curve to the right. The other post was perfectly straight. I wonder what installed the Allen screws, Robot or Gorilla line employee? They were all bottomed out. I'll use the Wiha hex driver on the new one when it comes in.

You mean hex on the grub screw with a tiny socket to drive them in and out? That sounds like a winner.

This is my first Velocity deck. Most every atomizer I have uses Phillips screws like the Kayfun. I've been a Kayfun guy for years. I'll probably order new screws for the replacement before I build it.

That's a good deal on the Pico JC, I might grab one , Man are they high on everything else though, even the old stuff is outrageous

Like you need more mods....:D But hey, a super deal is a super deal, isn't it?

As far as their prices, most things I've looked at for myself or others, have been really good deals when the 30% off is applied. I have noticed on there and on many other websites though, that much of the old-school stuff is definitely much higher than IMO it should be now. A few sites have had the exact opposite though, and have had almost give-away prices on it. I think sooner or later they'll all have to go that way...or get stuck with it all in the longrun.
