I use the Coil master coiler, very easy to make contact, and spaced coils., especially with my arthritic hands. Others use a drill bit, small screwdriver, whatever is handy that's close to the size you want.
I just can't get a good grip on it and not a lot of room to wrap, I'll give to little man and just use a drill bit until I can get the coil master.

Are they easier to use?
Yes I think so. You just thread the wire thru on one side, slide the top on and turn. Let me see if i can find a 'how to' video.

Actually in the above link in my last post to ebay, you can select all three for $9.75 with free shipping and they are in the US..They take paypal.

I use one of these UD coil jigs

The reason I like it is the mandrels are easy to remove from the handle and use them to position the coil on the deck. The mandrel alone is also short enough to not be intrusive while mounting the coil.

I think I need to make some tax juice....
Toffee
Apple
Xtra whipped cream
:)
That sounds good. Added to my juice calc to try some day:

TAX (RFSC)
1.50% Apple (Real Flavors)
1.50% Butter Toffee (Real Flavors)
0.80% Cream (Real Flavors)
