I finally got a fasttech order today that I've been waiting for a long time. But the strange thing is that fasttech got it here in 4 days once they shipped it. The holdup was the USPS. It spent 5 days in San Francisco. Then for some odd reason, they sent it to Denver where it sat for 4 days. They could have shot it right up to Oregon in a day. So I have no idea why they sent it to Denver.

Regarding the smoke detector that goes off when the door's open, it must be a photoelectric one. There two types, photoelectric are NOT vape friendly. Ionization vs photoelectric

I'm still glad the scratch pen discussion came up. The steel pen in the 4-pen pixiss set is great for cleaning coils, and the fiberglass Penn does work nicely for cleaning contacts.

One of my bugaboos has been getting a decent steel brush for cleaning my kanthal coils after I glow them slightly (gunk cleaning). I'm finding the steel pen nice for this, though the brass would likely also work.

It works really, really well on the center post for cleaning it off. I tried everything and none of it worked until someone pointed me to that pen. It really does work well.

Gotta love it when someone posts the answer while you're busy typing.

@NolaMel - Get a Smoke Buddy or Smoke Buddy, Jr. They really work! Blow your vapor into it...nothing comes out the other end! I must say it works wonders in airport restroom stalls.
