Ooh, I'm just roasting some of those interesting sounding beans. Have to brew a test pot on a while [emoji3]

Took a look at some of the 2x700 mods people have mentioned, nothing really grabbed me. A single battery resin (light weight but reasonably grippy texture) might be nice, but hardly a barn burner.

If anyone wants a high power squonker, vaporl has the pulse dual 220w w/pulse v2 rda for $33: Vandy Vape Pulse Dual 220W Squonk TC Kit with Pulse V2 RDA - 7ml
Hmmm … tempting
Doesn't look too bulky for a dual.
Does it do TC well?

Edit: $33 is gone already:(

Depending on how zealous the senate is all they need to do is put nic tax on the end of another bill that is ready to pass and it could be done really quickly. The senate can be sneaky in that way

Anyone running any discounts on nic right now?

    :)

Do you have a link to an article on that? I cannot find it. I only see the old ones from the 23rd where the House Committee sent it to the House.

EDIT: I still cannot find anything. Are you sure you are not confusing the House Committee with the House? Because that would have been lightning fast to get it through that quickly.

Sorry, I was copying/pasting from another thread, it has passed the committee.

I ended up getting 2 of those and 2 of the other RDA's you mentioned, plus 4 spare bottles... but when I looked at a review video of the included RDA, the coils they used looked like the wire was thicker than what I currently have. What gauge and type of wire do you (or anyone else) recommend for these? And how many watts & ohms are you running yours at?

    EDIT:

Ok my kits have the V2 of the Pulse X BF RDA. I have a .5 ohm 26 gauge kanthal single coil setup in one and a premade .43 ohm clapton coil in the other. I run then at 40-42 Watts.

The Alexander I have setup at .7 ohm using 26 gauge kanthal but I have it sitting on a REO so a mech setup.

Now remember with the Pulse X V2. There is an inner ring that sets up the airflow. Turned one way is for dual coils and flipped upside down is for single coil builds. Matt from SMM did a good description of this and how to do the single coil build in his review video.

I must be an idiot, because I am trying to find pre-made coils for all three setups that you mentioned on fasttech.com so I can try out each one and see what I like best. And also, when I look for just the wire to make my own searching "26 gauge kanthal" I get nothing... :( I must be doing something wrong, because fasttech usually has everything when it comes to wire and pre-made coils.

Not to be a PITA, but where do you get your wire from (and pre-made coils if you use them)?

Can you imagine the price on nic patches and nic gum now? They use the same base we do right?
If you read the bill, the nic purchased for manufacture of those patches and gums is explicitly exempted from the tax. It is only the liquid nic we use that is taxed.

    Thanks! You're my hero!!

On a totally different note: I had accidentally ordered 155x .6ohm factory coils that I absolutely hate for a tank I use, I had intended to buy .4 ohm, which I like... so I basically ate those. I ordered another 120 coils in .4ohm, 40 of which were via wish.com (they only had .4 ohm, that was the only option, so even though they were not cheap, I was happy). Got them today... they shipped me .6ohm.... smfh. Went to return them using their automated system and I need to wait 2-3 days for a response. I am so aggravated right now.

***back to our regularly scheduled program***

I would be happy with a more modern subohm RTA. I got some older models on clearance but I haven’t landed on one that I think could pass the muster for an ADV.
The Zeus X is a winner if you like dual coil top airflow RTAs. Most RTAs designed in the last year or so are streets ahead of the earlier tanks. So much easier to wick/less leaking

I foresee NIC STILLS NIC STILL deep in dem dar WOODS of North and West Virginia, or wherever they grow nic. I have no idea.
I foresee nic being smuggled into the country. Think about it, 750 ml of pure nic would avoid over $20,000 in taxes. Why did I choose 750ml? Because that's a standard size for a bottle of liquor, and no customs agent give a single bottle of liquor a second glance or thought if you declare it with a nominal value on your form 6059B declaration when you re-enter the country. Buy a bottle of some local liquor while overseas. Drink it, or dump it down the drain. Fill bottle with nic and bring it back. Profit. ;)

Although using a rough guestimate as to a liter of nic lasting 3-5 years? IDK man. That's NOT that different than a pack of cigarettes..
You're right, it's not. The tax on a single Juul pod would only be about $1.15, and on a 30ml bottle of 12mg juice, it would be just over $10.00. So not a complete show stopper for people who vape retail products. But for the DIY crowd who are used to buying liters of 100 mg base for $50-$100, it's killer.

Thankfully the husband has NO interest currently in the IQOS. He was like, "DO NOT get me that."
I think IQOS is already classified as a cigarette and already subject to all the existing taxes on them.

House ways and means passed the bill 5 days ago.

I see nothing on CASAA or in a search indicating the full House has done anything with it.

The Bill would be up for amendments when it gets scheduled for consideration.

The Bill would then have to have something passed by the Senate.

Any differences would have to be resolved between House and Senate.

The President would have to sign it.

House and Senate are hardly in "play nice" mode. Nor is the President with Congress, overall. There's external politics going on that kind of has their attention.

As written, best I can tell, effectivity would not be until 90 days after all of the above occurs.

I don't look at this as time to freak out.
