Well, hang in there and check the classies from time to time. You never know what will turn up.

I do have a lovely green and it is my favorite. Surprisingly, the red one is nice.

Green is my second choice. Maybe I'll give that a try on second order. I'm happy with it on every count except the color. I miss vaping unregulated.

Is it the fear that any moment you could go boom that you miss?

Hell no. When I started vaping, regulated wasn't really a thing. The only vape that ever overheated on me was an Ego battery! You just have to be more careful with your builds and batteries. Not really a big deal. It's lovely to vape unregulated on a fresh battery. And after a bit, you know when it's time to charge without checking.

Except that you won't find much cheaper nicotine overseas if this ridiculous tax is applied in the US. Manufacturers will raise prices, other countries will tax nicotine once they see how much cash this can generate. It's only a matter of time.
It's hard to believe this will pass. Might be the highest ever tax in history percentage wise.
The only thing I can think of that comes close is Harry Anslinger's tax enacted in 1937.

18650's are not really intended for end-user consumer use like AA's etc... They are primarily used by manufacturers in things like laptops, etc..
Laptops moved from 18650s to flat pouch type cells some years ago. Nobody wants a laptop thick enough to accommodate 18mm diameter cells anymore. I believe their most common use now is in the battery packs for cordless power tools and equipment.

If manufacturers decide to move to newer, more efficient batteries like 20700/21700 and beyond, I could see a potential scenario where the 18650 could possibly be in trouble 20 years from now.
There's nothing intrinsically more efficient about a 21700 than an 18650. It's just a bigger cell, kinda like a "D" cell is bigger that a "C" cell, or an "AA" is bigger than a "AAA".

Thats why I think if anything is phased out it will be the 21700 first because its bigger and heavier.

The 18650 as loose cells is use in all my good (bright) flashlights. It also pops up in other applications, like portable fans.

I'm seeing the 21700 show in flashlights now.
I have a portable fan. It uses a drill battery with probably 18650s in it.
