That would make the cost of a bottle of eliquid so high no one would ever be able to afford vaping. So such a tax bill could never be passed because it would just basically put every eliquid manufacturer out of business due to a lack of a customer base. That would be counterproductive to the idea of taxation.

No customer base = no eliquid manufacturers = no tax to collect.

The govt doesn't want to really ban vaping, they want to make money from it. They only want to ban non-tobacco flavors to appease the "but the children" voter base. But the fact is, kids will vape dog sh|t if someone tells them it's cool, so they will get a hold of and vape tobacco flavors as well.

But no doubt nic base will be somehow made unable to be bought by consumers.

I'll vape 0mg juice before I think about going back to cigarettes or pay even $3 for a 10ml bottle of juice. I pay $0.65 per 10ml by buying 1L at a time at heartland.
That tax on a liter of 100mg works out in their minds to be about equal to what it is for a pack of smokes. My wife and I take 14 months to go through 1 liter of 100mg, so at $2780+$45 that works out to about $100 a month each ($1,200/yr each)... if it were cigarettes, based on $50/carton (guessing at the price of generic, it has been 12 years so I am not sure) we would be spending over $300 a month each ($3,600+/yr each)... so it is still not that bad. But compared to the $1.46/month each ($17.52/year each) that we currently spend, it is a lot of money.

EDIT: They were basing that tax on a juul pod's price being raised by about $1 and change. I am pretty confident that with the current climate around vaping that it (or similar/worse) will pass.

Think I have 200 of those. Haven't used them yet. OK fine I STILL haven't built anything in three years. Computer plans for this weekend, maybe next weekend is vape building.

No I did not! Says not valid though. I gave up on the old way of finding discount codes once I installed Honey, the old way took more patience than I have. I'll get to my free shipping and be happy.

Which... is going to be hard to do since Geekvape cleared my cart while I was driving home from work. I literally remote login to my work PC to keep the cart going so it's not like I tried to save a cart and access it on a different computer. Kinda upset that took me a while to build today... maybe I'll just wait on this order and see if a discount coupon doesn't cross my email in the meantime.
Weird! GK10 worked for me when I tried it. :?: I go old fashioned looking for codes when honey isn’t giving me anything.

Pretty sure I have a NEBox, with juice in it, sitting in my Dad's cabinet where my vape stash is. Looked at it last time and it wasn't leaking and I was amazed but never got around to dumping it and I STILL don't know how to clean the darn thing. It leaked on me all the time and now it's been sitting with juice in it for four years and won't leak. I'd ask Dad to check on it but he'd be upset to know it leaked all over... I'll check it out next time I'm home.
If you take the drip tip off and turn it upside down so it is sitting on the hole where the drip tip should be. It doesn't leak. The one I have had in rotation will dump its contents overnight if I don't do that though. Given the thing has a 9mL tank yeah big mess.

Edit: The only way I have ever cleaned it was to use a syringe first to suck all the liquid out and then to do several rounds of water in and out of the tank to rinse it (syringe again). leave the cap off to let it air dry. Being an all in one with no way to remove the tank makes the cleaning problematic.

If anyone is looking for a Billet Box, I found this on FT and with code, View attachment 855861 price isn't too bad.
I have one of the 70W SXK clone BBs. The chip is a bit unreliable - nothing like the dna BB - but you'll still get the Billet Box experience. It'll make you want to buy an authentic

No, I never thought of using liquid electrical tape. I may try that. But there is so little room to work on it and the wire is so short, it may not be feasible. with the exception of the battery, everything on the Elitar is crammed into the "bowl" of the pipe. Crammed is actually an understatement.

I too have hoarded SS 510 just like the one you see in the pic above. I have 16 of them. I hoarded them because I think that stuff will go up in price later on, not because think think they will not be available. Cheap on Fasttech.
You can use these:
FastTech - Gadgets and Electronics
As sacrificial parts to extend the life of mods with brass 510s. You attach/detach the tanks from these adapters rather than the mod 510. I use them on everything, so I can use a lanyard, but they also reduce wear on the mod 510.

My Solare DNA Mod is on the way! Should be here by Thursday. I'm sort of afraid I'm going to like it too much and become spoiled.

That's the reason I don't want to go down the billet box rabbit hole either. I'm content with what I've got right now, but if I try it, all the things I've stocked may become much less attractive.

Is that PG nic ro VG nic? I recently read that VG nic keeps longer (without freezing), for like 10 years, but PG nic is only 1-2 years.
I don't think anyone knows which lasts longer. I have heard it both ways.
There's this guy on a forum called ECF who has and continues to document actual storage experiments.

That nic is all 2 years and 8 months old. The bottles on the left have been in a metal box (to keep them in the dark) at room temperature in a climate-controlled house. The bottles on the right have been in a small, 2.1 cubic foot freezer. In the thread linked above, you'll find other pics of the same samples taken during their first year of aging. Bottom line: There isn't a really significant difference how PG and VG base ages.

I have all the hardware I can use for at least 10 years if I take care of it all. Over half of it is still sealed in the retail packaging. I have 25 mods, 20 RTAs and a bunch of replacement parts and spare parts to fix them (but not as many as I would like).

Worried about eliquid/nic base. I'm just now getting into DIY and just ordered a starter kit & some nic base from Heartland vapes. I don't really want to DIY, but I have no choice so I may as well get started now.

I vape about 10ml a day (trying to cut that down) and I use 18 mg but also need to cut that in at least half.

I worry about nic base, which I know will be banned for consumer sale at some point. For now, I have a little over 1 liter of 100mg PG nic base coming to me, but will probably order more come the new year.

My biggest fear is being able to store it. I only have room in a very old spare freezer and when that breaks, I'm done. No money to spend on another freezer. Times are very tough. Hopefully this changes soon.

I think it’s likely that nic will be banned, but we can’t be 100% sure that’ll happen. You’re doing all you can to prepare. If you need any help with diy you know where to ask. I always say, if I can do it, anyone can.

And although we’re always on about nic storage, and true it does stay fresh longer bottled and frozen, it keeps for quite some time in a cool dark place, too. It’s not like meat, which thaws and spoils if the freezer breaks. Every day you can keep it frozen will just add a lot of days to how long it tastes good. If the power goes out or the freezer breaks, I’d stick it in a closet, and refreeze it when I could. I’ve seen nothing that makes me think it ever spoils, but it can get too peppery tasting to vape.

It's not like it goes "bad" as in harmful. Yeah, it would taste a bit nasty. I have some that was stored room temp for a few years, and it's oxidized pretty bad. But the more you dilute it, the less you taste it. And in something like a RY4 I don't mind it. Given the choice between oxidized nic and overtaxed, overpriced nic, I'll vape it. After all, we used to smoke cigarettes!

To add to that, I remember someone talking about them testing the nicotine level on aged nic and it does lose a tiny bit of potency over extended periods of time. But if you stock up 30 years worth and tap from just that, it would be so gradual that you would not even notice it.

I know the Hellbeast comes with some backup o-rings, but does anyone else know where to get additional exact replacements for it? I have 4 Hellbeasts, but between the Hellbeast coils, ccell coils, and the nautilus coils I have, I could be using them for 30 years (I have a crap load of glass too).

Didn't it already pass the House? Taxes are a given on vape supplies, but after May we don't even know if any ejuice has a PMTA submitted. May 11 is the Dark Ages of vape date.

I know that it passed a "house committee" (I forget the exact name of it, but it is a precursor to sending it to the house) and they sent it to the house, not sure if it has been acted on yet (I think it was), but I imagine if it has not, that it will.

EDIT: "The House Ways and Means Committee"

Maybe pick up a few more for the extra pieces/parts on sale. I have 4 too.
