The 'Burgh, PA.
It may take me a while to mix without the one shots, but even if I never use anything but one shots, I am still saving money.

For those of us sitting in the Back Row of the DIY Classroom...WHAT are "one shots"...HOW do you use them...WHERE do you buy them???

Right, I'm just not sure how I want to break it all down to start with. I was thinking of going 8oz the biggest, but I may want to go 16oz for a few. But that's only if I can find reasonable prices without having to buy full cases. At least not of every size I want/need. Plus I'll need smaller ones, too. Like 4 or 2 oz. I'm not rushing into buying bottles...or jars.
Glassbottleoutlet.com sells them individually... in all sizes and colors.... cheap.

Thanks. Based on Rossums findings and the fact that I want to be able to see my nic at a glace, I decided on one thing for sure - I'm gong with clear bottles.

You can protect your nic from light by wrapping them in foil. Then, when you want to see how clear your nic is, you just take it out of the foil and then put it back in the foil before it goes in the freezer.

Okay - Question, for people here (although I could ask this in the DIY thread) would prefer to know - what do you use to take away the "harshness" while vaping Unflavored NIC . . . ;)

.
Chamomile tea. It calms the body.

I vape unflavored and while it does actually have a very mild flavor/taste I have never found it harsh.

EDIT: Sometimes I actually wish it was a bit harsh so I would get a better throat hit.

They're bottles of all the flavorings you would need to make juice except for the nic, vg and pg. They are super concentrated flavors. Instead of having to add several flavors to make a single juice, you just add the one shot, plus the vg, pg and nic. They are made by several different manufacturers, including One Stop DIY Shop, Molinberry, Wonder Flavors, and Chef's Flavors. I've bought some from Gremlin DIY (Wonder Flavours), Liquid Barn Tastemaker Collection - The Best eJuice One Shot concentrates!, One Stop DIY Shop (10 ml (Sample Size)) ( 10 ml (Sample Size)), Wizard Labs ( (One Shot Concentrates) and Bull City Flavors, (Concentrated Flavoring - Brands - Molinberry - Bull City Flavors). I haven't bought any from Chef's Flavors, but they look fantastic. I'll have to try them soon.

Maybe "harsh" is the wrong word, but the fact is, all I've ever added to unflavored is Koolada & Menthol Crystal Liquid . . . It usually has what I consider a TRUE menthol taste, however in the past few days it is leaving a lot more "Throat Hit" then I like . . . Really do not want to add any "flavors" - nor "Sweeteners (not good for diabetics) . . . Just something that might take the edge off . . .

EDiT: It has recently become - what might be considered a more "Peppery" after taste . . .

The clear or amber 4oz are $1.14 with caps, vs. $1.24 for amber 8, at HV.

For the freezer I use the 8s for bulk storage, then have a handful of 4s. When I open an 8, 1/2 stays out in a 4, the other half goes back into the freezer in another 4.

Each liter is a little more than 4 8oz bottles, nominally 1.8 oz more, so you really want a few extra 8s and 4s, depending on how many liters you have.

For decanting a small funnel is handy, I use a pack of small ones from a Real Deals (a true dollar store).

Wear vinyl or nitrile gloves when decanting 100, clean up any spills promptly. (Truth is I don't wear gloves, have a good area to work in when I'm doing this, but it's still the proper advice)

There's no light in a freezer. Rossum's sample bottles are all clear, no wrapping.

I’m down to buying two Christmas gifts for family from me, and one for Mom (until she decides she needs more). Almost done. Men are hard to buy for! Ugh. I have a 21 year old nephew that is impossible. He’s artsy fartsy, he models and is into fashion, a college student, living with friends. Impossible to buy for. I’m clueless. Guess I better go look around for something. When you google gifts for men they are about drinking, farting, bacon, and sex. I wonder why that is.

Can you explain what you mean by that? Are you talking about US Customs interference with shipments from China?
I'm talking about any sort of interference, what ever form it might take. Right now there is a bill in congress that includes forbiding USPS from delievering vape mail. There's a possibility US customs may get involved. Some state laws say it's illegal to buy vape stuff from out of state sellers while it's also banned in state. There might be other possibilities I haven't thought of. Regardless I want to be able to vape off the grid if necessary. That's the point of a stash.

Yes, but every time you open the freezer, the light goes on. My suggestion may not be necessary, and might be overkill, but it's what I would do were I using clear glass bottles.

Get him a fartbox...or a Juul with mint pods. :w00t:

It's the thought that counts.

I'm pretty sure we can all agree on that. lol That's a great phrase "off-grid vaping".

I hear in Feb 2020, CBS is going to air a TV show called Doomsday Vapers. I bet they contact some people on this thread.

Nic varies, some brands have a bit more of the peppery "throat grab" right from the start.

Generally, however, that'll happen when nic has more oxidation from exposure to air. By any chance is the bottle of nic you're working with a bit less clear, a little bit of yellow (or other color)?

I use a 4oz bottle for my working nic. Based on my daily consumption (60mg total, 30 ml x 2mg/ml) it lasts me 200 days, and I only open the bottle every few weeks to mix more eliquid. The nic still tends to be in good shape right up to the end. If you vape fewer mg of nic per day you might want to use a smaller bottle for your working/mixing supply, a 2 oz.
