Where the heck were you getting $10 Picos?
Eons ago, they’re the original Picos. Someone (probably on the shinyitis thread) posted the sale. Several of us ordered them. Can’t remember which vendor, but the newer versions were out and selling well. I want to say around when the pico 75 came out? Or the squeeze maybe.

I had no idea there was a Pico before the 75W pico came out. Must've been that year I took a break from the vape world.

Generally, however, that'll happen when nic has more oxidation from exposure to air. By any chance is the bottle of nic you're working with a bit less clear, a little bit of yellow (or other color)?

Nope . . . Matter of fact, everything is very clear. . . NIC, Koolada, & Menthol Crystal Liquid . . . no color that I can see in any of them . . . However, I have "Decanted" the NIC & Koolada into seperate 30 - 60 ml Plastic bottles and the Menthol Cryatal Liquid is already in a 5-10 ml plastic bottle - so there could be some oxidation as Ya' suggested . . . Just not sure . . . :?:

You want the one without anything in it except the .09 saline and water, that is used to clean wounds.
Have fun experimenting.

THANKS for the suggestion . . . BTW: Don't have to go and get any, since I have 6 containers of "Sterile Saline Wash" already that is used for other reasons . . . So I will definitely give it a try, although I am not really mixing it with any Flavors - just menthol . . .

That's the nic tasting peppery. You could try a drop of Vape Wizard, it smooths out a vape.

Okay - Who makes Vape Wizard? Where do I get some? Inquiring minds NEED to know . . .

Just Sayin' . . . ;)

I am saving all my used coils now too. I was looking at a used Zenith coil today trying to figure out what coil was in there and how to get it apart. Need more time to contemplate that one LOL
Look towards the end of this thread... discussion and pictures on trying to rebuild a zenith coil.

It may be 75w, but it didn’t have the swoosh on it. Came in hot pink, silver and maybe grey? It was the first one.

I got the Vaporesso Tarot Nano kit in the mail today. I wanted one of these for a couple years, but was unwilling to pay full price on an internal battery mod. For $14.95 I pulled the trigger.

OK and where did YOU get that for $15? I either missed this or someone was being stingy on their steals.

I haven't tried the Ohmie Tank yet, but the Colossal is definitely under powered (or my other mods are overpowered). Had a Kayfun Prime at 22.5W on a SMOK AL85, had to bump the Colossal up to 25 to get the same vape.
Someone may have mentioned this already... I'm obviously behind. :)

On your Colossal in "Power" mode at the bottom of the display you should see a letter. S, N or H for soft, normal or hard. I set mine to N and notice no difference compared to any other mod.

Any chance yours is set to S (soft) which does deliver a much lighter hit?

If it is unlock the Colossal and then swipe down, or up, and try N or H. I have several Colossal's and Kayfun's including the Prime. When the Colossal is set to S it's too light a hit for me. Normal is, well, normal like any other mod that I have. And H delivers a momentary wattage boost.

    Good luck.

The iStick Pico 75W TC didn't have swoosh for sure, it was mono colored with a few made with goldish chrome. Came in at least 4 or 5 different colors. Brushed steel, Grey, Black, White, and hot pink. Then later came in some resin designs, 23 mm tank max.

The one with the swoosh was the Pico 25 - an 85W TC mod that accommodates up to 25mm tanks

They have others like the Pico X, a Squonker and I see they have a 21700 battery Pico.

    21700 Pico...

These are the only ones I know of so these $10 picos were probably the 75W Picos. Very durable mods. I never would have guessed it. WHAT A DEAL!

But I have a feeling what you may have bought for $10 was possibly the iStick 20W or Istick 30W (not called Pico)

    20W
(19mm max tank with no overhand, no spring-loaded 510 pjn and crappy brass 510 threads and built-in battery).

    30W
(accommodates 22mm tank with no overhang + has spring-loaded 510 pin & steel 510 threads and built-in battery)

    Insulators:

There's been much talk of failing insulators here. I've got two things to say about this.

    1) Heat is obviously their enemy, but the heat produced in a wet atty during normal use should not be enough to damage them. So I think the biggest potential for damage is when one dry burns a coil. Keep a wet paper towel handy when you dry burn. Use it to pull heat out of the coil and atty immediately after you release the fire button.

    2) You get what you pay for. If you buy a $10 clone, you can bet the manufacturer has cut costs wherever they could. They'll do things like use the cheapest possible material to make the insulator out of. If you're in this for the long term, buying the cheapest things you can find might just be penny wise and pound foolish.
    Absolutely. Totally agree. :thumb:

My KFL's from 2013 have their original insulators and they're fine. I also have all SVM replacements for all my Kayfun's and a few Fat Daddy's.

IMO there is no reason to dry burn any coil at high wattages. With regular round wire I pulse dry burn at 7-8 watts max. With 316L claptons I pulse dry burn no higher than 15 watts. I never light them up to dry burn. There is no reason to. Never had insulator damage on any atty.

I don't bother to dry burn at all. Wire's cheap, at lest regular old round Kanthal and NiCr are. That sht gets too nasty to keep lol

But I'm not a dripper to a sqonker, strictly a tanker.

Honestly I have no trouble with regular pressure canning jars in the freezer and I have never had a lid rust. the rings? yeah I have had those discolor but not rust.

The thing is they are glass designed to take abuse. Even so as with any glass you want to let them come to room temp before you open the jar. If you feel better getting the freezer specific ones go for it. I personally have never seen a difference.
I have some nicotine stored in mason jars. I didn't have $$ at the time (2013)and I had plenty of mason jars. I'm planning on using one to store my recent Nic river purchase.

Well I made a vape purchase at Eightvape tonight, before @Blitzdonlife linked me that Tarot Nano or it would have went into the cart.

Got the Smok E-priv for $15. I need another two batt mod like a hole in the head but it comes with a TFV12 Prince tank for about the price I was paying for just the Prince tank. Deal.

Also got another Breeze 2 (as I officially gave my office manager one of mine), some coils for it, and 50mg/ml peach juice. My Juul compatible but not Juul branded prefilled pods I bought aren't cutting it for my 2.5 hours of alone time I get to vape at my desk at work.

I've always felt like the mod needed a little higher resistance than 1.0 ohms, gonna give these 1.2 coils a try.
