Nothing.... why anyone buys their nic from any place other than heartland is puzzling to me.

Gotta be somethin'. They would be out of business by now with that price.

Not that I care as far as purchasing because I'm done.

The only thing I'm considering buying from then down the road is their nicotine test kit. Seems like a good thing to have when you're dealing with nic in long term storage.

Would love to have that test kit now so I can test my nic as it was shipped to me and compare years down the road, but that's not a really necessary purchase in my eyes for the time being.

Well... more people than you would believe think that simply paying more means better quality. But nic is nic.

So after hitting the part of the Countdown thread when the threats of bans started (around page 80) I’ve switched to reading the old Squonk Prawn (lol, my personal edit) Thread. This has me thinking, too.

Ive got a bunch of these ~$40 mods (not including REOs, Hexohm, Provari) that might last me a year. As many as I have now, including the mods I consider better made and more durable, and being pessimistic, I’ve probably got 20 years’ worth.

Is there value in looking into higher quality devices? I don’t want to feel silly having sunk a lot of money into something that may not have a good shelf life.

Does anyone here have an opinion on this? If you’ve stocked on mainstream devices, do you feel secure with what you’ve bought?

My order today was just a set of 8 locking collars for mm510s, for use on mechs.

This shows it (the black piece at the bottom of the 510 assembly) in the locked position, impossible to close contact. Rotate it right and the contact is exposed.

A dead simple, functional, off switch. The collar snaps around an mm510 large positive nut.

95% of my nic came from Nicotine River,, 0 complaints. Before NR I bought from liquid barn and was shorted 10+ mls on every small bottle.

Yes I recently bought a liter of nic salt from heartland because I was in town,, weather was cold,, no shipping to pay & i wanted to see their store.

I bought about 25+ different makes/models and got 3 of each type.... except solos, i got 6 of those. I wanted to spread things out in the event of defects, etc.

I got 3 of each type because I am splitting my stash between my house, my daughter's house and my brother-in-law's house in the event of fire, hurricane, flood, etc.

WL is more expensive than others in general, nic, flavors … etc.
HL's house nic is the cheapest decent base. For nicselect, CNT or chemnovatic there might be better options. e.g. CNT 100mg from LB was $44.99 /L when they ran the CM promotion, same as HL's regular nic. HL lists CNT for 64.99 and was 54.99 during the sale.

You have a lot more than I do! I think I’m around 25 mods I consider stock-worthy and about 10 I bought a long time ago and put away and don’t consider dependable enough to lean on in scarce times. Plus little cheapies like the Stentorian Rams I bought as “why not” backups.

ETA In my count I do not include the mods I’m currently using, which include the Therion DNA, MVP3, MVP5, and Topside.

Barring integrated battery devices, I have 18650 "mainstream" devices that seem to hold up and some that don't for one reason or another. Of the ones that don't, most are fixable if you're not afraid of a little soldering, drilling, etc. I have a lot of wire and 510 connections stored for some of my older mods that have brass 510s and in case the 510 should break on any other mods.

I'm not worried too much about devices I have, all of which are "mainstream". But I think the idea of storing them so as to keep moisture away might be a good idea, like you stated earlier.

I also will definitely be buying a few of the more rugged mods, like Aegis Solo or Jackaroo, if I can, a little later. I just can't now.

What's so great about WizardLabs nic that it's $100 for 100mg/liter?

Genuine question from a noob who just paid 1/3rd of WL's price @ $34/ liter at HV.
Wizard Labs has been around for a long time and has consistent high quality IMO. My first order from them, about seven years ago, sat in a cool basement, 250 and 500ml of 100mg in plastic. After nearly two years they came out colorless and smooth. No other nic I got at that time held up to my naive mistreatment very well.

I've since dropped our nic levels to 9mg so it's not as noticeable to taste and moved to cheaper nic that goes in the freezer immediately. I went for quantity - as long as it was colorless and smelled OK when it arrived, that was good enough.

WL may be among the pricier nic options but they have earned a lot of loyal customers. Very consistent.

BTW: I would have to say my most durable and longest lasting mod to date is the Pico 75W.

Realize that I don't vape higher than 15W and rarely even go that high anymore. Not sure if this matters. I'm also not the best at babying my mods as I should be, but I try.
