I'm running a Vivi Nova at 2.4 ohms right now and even I probably wouldn't use them for vaping. I stick to batteries rated 10 amps continuous or better just to have plenty of headroom. We know more and have much better options now than in the early days.Back when I used mechs, which was like 2009ish (after I got tired of cigalikes, and the larger pen batteries that came after them), there was not much talk about ohm's law as everything out there seemed to be able to run everything just fine without needing to worry about it.
Heck, I even made some mods using parts from MadVapes and they ran on a single battery the exact size of a AA (but was like 3.7V, I cannot remember the model number of those). One of my first pre-built mods was a Roughstack which ran on an 18350 button top, but I never had to worry about ohms/amps/or any of that. (I still have that mod. lol)
The hardware I am talking about using is something that belongs in a time capsule. lol The last thing I would intend to do is to run 2019 tech on 2009-2011 hardware. i.e. I am not planning on running my Hellbeast with a .2 ohm coil on these. More like a ViVi Nova with a 2.4ohm coil. But because I never had to worry about that when that old hardware was in style, I have absolutely no clue what the power of the batteries were at the time for comparison to the button tops I have right now. If I were a betting man, I would say they are more than safe, but I just want to be certain.
EDIT: When I use an Ohm's Law calculator for 3.7V and 2.4 ohms it says 1.54167 amps. 4.2V it says 1.75amps. But I am not sure if I am doing that correctly... lol If I am doing that right, it should be well within the battery's 4.9amp capability.
Yours would work fine for those small single coils that require less power to heat up at five watts or less but not many of us are still vaping that style. I might pull out the Roughstack or the Mini Vapestack and dig up a carto now that you reminded me - those were good vapes back in the day!
Great long life batteries for an 18650 flashlight though. I got one a few years ago to use up my old Trustfire batteries and they're still in service since they get limited use.
