Then, a few days later, I got a shipment and almost all the caps on the glass bottles I ordered were shattered (just the caps, not the bottles). I emailed them (kindly) to let them know (I didn't even ask for replacements), no response. That was probably almost a week ago now.

Odd, that, @UncleJunkle . I recently ordered a couple liters of nic and a dozen bottles with caps, only got 10. The ten were shrink wrapped, so I took a pic, just in case, but did not include that with an email about the problem. Got an immediate acknowledgement, and the 2 missing arrived faster than the original shipment.

Only thing I need to order at the moment is a 26650 batt for the Aegis 100W, so I have all batt sizes handy :) Looks like Mooch suggested the ijoy 3000mah 40A, that tested out at 30A. Mike vapes review showed a Golshi (sp) batt that came with the 100 and said Mooch said it was about the same as the ijoy batt. So guess I start there :)

I don't think it's true. The FDA initially put off the PMTA deadline to 2022. There was a court case that decided the PMTA deadline had to be moved to May 2020, it wasn't the FDA's idea.

See article here: Judge moves PMTA deadline to May 2020; praises FDA, criticises industry - ECigIntelligence

At this point, I don't think the deadline can be moved without a win in court, and that has not happened (yet). We would definitely hear about it.

I see. That must be old news and they never removed it.

I am taking down Christmas decorations. It’s much faster storing them away than decorating the house. After this is done, I want to put the rest of my vape gear in my vape cabinet. I need to figure out what else I need to buy if anything. Catch some New Years sales for odds and ends and get ready for 2020 and Spring. Woohoo! It’s so warm here I want to get outside. Maybe go on a walk with my son. Walk off some of this holiday food and sweets.

Exactly. I THink someone found an old article from before the court case that moved it forward to May 2020.

In the end it wont matter with the legislation congress is trying to push through adding huge taxes, killing flavors and killing internet sales. I am betting some if not all of it will go through. Weather trump signs it? That is a total crap shoot but if he looses the election I am betting his replacement will sign it in a heartbeat. If he is impeached and removed from office (unlikely but always possible) well Pence doesn't have a good history when it comes to vaping.

So basically we are toast one way or another.

I guess the federal flavor ban decision is set to be decided within the next 2 days, according to CASAA.

From an email I got today...

(Update - 12.26.19)

There is a high likelihood that we will see an announcement from the Trump administration regarding new rules for sales of flavored vapor products in the next two days. This new policy may ban sales of any flavor other than tobacco and menthol.

We need to keep up the pressure on HHS/FDA officials, the Trump administration, and the Trump campaign and make sure that they know the consequences of banning flavors: Putting thousands of people out of work, closing down small businesses, and, most importantly, exposing consumers to greater risk by forcing people back to smoking or buying products on an underground market.

We need to

  • The operator will likely ask where they can direct your call
  • Simply tell them that flavored vapor products saved your life; and,
  • tell them “We Vape, We Vote.

Let them know that the facts don't support flavor bans

and that adults who smoke/vape will be the people most harmed by this policy

that will have little to no effect on youth experimentation!

What I don't understand is, when they say the only approved flavors will be tobacco and "menthol", do they mean mentholated tobacco flavor, or just straight-up menthol?

Because "menthol" really isn't a flavor, it's a sensation.

Mint, spearmint, peppermint, etc., those are flavors that are mentholated.

This is what you get when govt regulates things "to save the children".

"The children" will start buying PG and VG and flavors and just vape 0 nic if they have to. This will lead to some using unsafe flavorings.

So much for "saving the children"

Will also create a black market. Narcotics are black market, children still use them.

So much for "saving the children"

Just remember, idiots that know nothing about vaping are making up the rules and it will never make sense

I got the same email... I wouldn't say it is "set" to be decided ("high likelyhood", "may ban")... Plus CASAA has put out rumor emails before that didn't pan out more than once... and this sounds vaguely familiar to a Twitter warning someone posted here (or maybe it was the "Final Countdown" thread) several days ago that warned about it within 2 days or something (that have since passed). I am not finding anything on the subject from any reputable (or even a less than reputable) news source. Am I saying it won't happen? nope... but I would feel more confident if rumor emails like these at least included some type of source.

So are you saying CASAA possibly engages in creating drama and spreading unfounded rumors in an effort to possibly increase support and memberships for their organization?

That would not surprise me in the least. I've long ago learned that you can't even trust those who "have your back" these days. :(

Either that or they sometimes jump the gun using questionable sources. But I suppose from their point of view they just want to put pressure on the administration and it is better to be safe than sorry.... but for some it may have "the boy that cried wolf" effect.

Whatever happens I am just thankful I am in the waiting for vapemail stage. I worry some could be stopped at customs if they put something immediate through but that is unlikely. Everything I have out there should get through before the government can take final action.
