I don't feel like I over spent spending almost $2k now. I am limiting myself to $2500. I bought all of it just after X-mas sales. I wasn't visiting ECF for years thanks to a very stressful job and glad I did just after X-Mas to find out about D-Day. Thanks to this site/forum I was able to buy most of my stuff on sale/clearance so very thankful for that. For those that want a good RTA the Digiflavor Fuji is really good and on sale for $5 at Kangerwholesaleusa.com. I bought 9 of them. They are my at home goto. Too bad they do not hold a lot more juice as they are juice hogs. My out of home goto is Kanger Subtank. Have tons of coils and RBA heads for them and 5 pack of coils was only $.50 so have a ton of them in case I do not want to build my own for them.

For flavor storage I read putting in glass bottles with poly cap and not opening them will keep them fresh for a very long time from Linda at Flavor Apprentice. The flavor molecules especially small ones escape every time the bottle is opened. All my flavors are transferred to glass bottles especially since they are so cheap at glass outlet bought off amazon.

For water/humidity just double bag in gallon freezer bags. I will be living in So FL soon so will have to worry about hurricanes. I will for sure be taking my vape hardware with me in my car if I have to leave for one.
Compare it to the cost of cigarettes. Using a cheap $5 per pack and me smoking two packs a day, the money I’ve spent on vaping would only last me about 15 months smoking. My vape supply is for 40 to 50 years. I think your costs are extremely reasonable and I do believe we both are on the low end of the average spent.

I went back and checked. I had to use my CC at MVS. I like Paypal and use it when the vendor accepts it.
You had me hopeful for a minute haha,i agree i use paypal as much as possible,so i usually end up ordering from China because of that.

My recommendation, don't store in sealed containers unless you are very vigilant about keeping absorbant salt in the container. Condensation can be a problem.
I agree. I think airflow is good. I have a waterproof/fireproof safe with tons of desiccant in it. The staples on some of my paperwork have rusted and it smells moldy. The manufacturer instructions say to leave open for a few hours once a week but I got enough on my plate and can’t remember to do that weekly. I’m leaving my gear unsealed but yet in their original packaging in my conditioned house. The staples in my office I’ve had for years are perfect.

    Somewhere between here and there
I went through a box of old hardware and found a bunch of clone kayfun lite v2’s and some v4’s. It’s hard to believe I used to use those. I must have liked them because I found four of the v2’s brand new and unused.

The v2s are still my daily drivers. Near indestructible :)

So are the V4s, especially with the full metal tank section. I'm not sure why a lot of people seem to hate the V4 (not you, just people in general).

I asked in another thread if they thought the classified's were safe. Im thinking of trying to trade my billet box/vapeshell for a dani mine. Do they use vouches and such?

Can't wait to see what "You" post . . .

 Don't know what Ya' mean by "Vouchers", however it is a "Trade" item for item or "Selling" for a agreed upon price, usually payment is transferred either by Paypal. MO, etc. . . . See links below . . .

Personally - IMHO - "You" might be better off selling the BB/Vapeshell in the Classifieds at a reasonable price (Of course - which depends what "You" are is willing to accept) and then just purchase the "Dani Mine" . . . Where a Trade can take a very long time . . . Just "My" :2c:

Anyway - Classifieds are not the same as it use to be - but still a very good place (Better then eBay/Facebook/etc.). If "You" have any questions about dealing with someone, just make sure you read the person's Trading Stat's (Profile Page)/Feedback (Classified Feedback) and or know them from threads you are involved in . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

I got my start with Kayfuns, but the V4 (which I never got) seems to be the poster child for over-engineering, so maybe that's it. I also remember people talking about the draw being way different than their other models.

I asked in another thread if they thought the classified's were safe. Im thinking of trying to trade my billet box/vapeshell for a dani mine. Do they use vouches and such?

The classies are as safe as, well, classies. :D There are always risks.

You can, as a seller, choose who you deal with. You can choose to deal with only people that have X amount of trader ratings if you want. Likewise, you can choose to only deal with people who have X posts and their account is X years old. Or a combo of all the above.

P2P selling is always a gamble unless you take cash only, up front. Which isn't happening on online transactions.

Then you have the problem where someone can do a chargeback on a paypal transaction and you, as a seller, are SOL even if you have proof of delivery. You, as a seller of vaping gear, also run the risk of losing your PP account if paypal finds out. So there's that problem, too.

People will give anecdotal "proof' that they've been using PP to sell their vape gear for years without problems, but that doesn't change the fact that PP reserves the right to shut you down over it. Vape transactions are forbidden in their TOS.

Also, ECF does not allow sellers to use Paypal Friends and Family, which is the solution to buyer fraud, because it is easy for fraud sellers to defraud buyers since buyers since buyers are not protected by paypal if money was exchanged in a Paypal F&F transaction.

But PP F&F is a safer option for the honest seller. Go figure. (What bothers me about that "no F&F" rule is that, as far as I know, ECF allows Bitcoin, yet Bitcoin has no buyer protection either, so to disallow paypal F&F makes no sense - actually Bitcoin is a lot easier to use to defraud buyers than PP F&F is - but I won't go into why that is).

Classies are a gamble no matter where you post them. But I think here on ECF it may be a tad safer seeing how you can more easily deuce who might not be trustworthy than on other venues.

Everyone used to have to be verified by ECF, but they quit that a while back. Now, it's only as safe as who you're dealing with. But there is a feedback section somewhere around here, so you can at least check to see if someone has good/bad feedback.

edit: Oops, I see Uncle pointed you in the right direction.

That's the case with all Kayfuns and Taifuns. Way too many parts.

But I agree, The KV4 may win the prize there.

I'm with Brewdawg on that, over engineered. Too many dang parts to worry about for little, if any gain, at least for me. (Yah, know you weren't singling me out, Uncle :) )

Hmm, not counting fill, air and terminal screws, the KF2L has 6 parts, plus drip tip. That's if you count the 3 piece "tank" as, well, three pieces. I generally leave that portion together when tearing down to clean, so for me only 4 parts to deal with. Not too many :)

YEP - Ya' never know "Whom" just might show up and send "You" a PM (* COUGH * COUGH *) . . . ;)

BTW: - Billet Boxes are very popular to many different "Vapers' MTL & DL and depending on which one "You" are selling can be a quick sell or take quite awhile depending on what is offered and price . . . Check what is available now and the previous "Closed" Sales to get a better grasp of what Ya' should/could do to get it "SOLD" . . . Just a Suggestion . . .

Question about these newer top-fill tanks where you slide back the top cap to fill your tank. Like the NRG, Ello, SKRR, etc.

Has anyone been using these long enough to experience breaking of the sliding mechanism?

I like teh idea and all, an dI have a few, but it just seems to me that the slide mechanism will probably wear over time rendering the tank utterly useless (well maybe some duct tape could get you by lol).

And since all the tanks that I have that have this type of topfill use the chimney as the securement method of keeping the tank together, bottom filling isn't an option. (Meaning, the bottom if the chimney screws into the top of the coil or RBA and that's what keeps the tank together).

This is why I prefer bottom fill tanks. No extra mechanisms.
For that exact reason I have 10 of one type that takes nautilus coils (plus my 6 Hellbeasts come with an adapter), 11 of another type that takes m17 coils, and 17 tanks that take gt coils. I was paranoid about sliders, etc wearing out.

I prefer topfill because they are more convenient, but there is also more to go wrong.
