How do you determine which ones work best?

I made the surgical style with pleats and the contoured type. I like the surgical style best, seems to fit better. As far as filters the best, the vacuum cleaner bag works best, as good as an actual medical surgical mask. But drawback is it is really hard to breath thru. So next best is cotton or cotton T shirt fabric. I made mine with cotton fabric on top and T shirt material for liner. Very comfortable. I made them with elastic and some with ties. The ties makes a better fit, but not as handy as the elastic over ears. It was fun working on them.

Just leave it sit for 24 hrs, that's how long the virus lives on cardboard. Gee how our lives have changed in a matter of weeks, unbelievable! So glad I'm stocked on vape supplies, one less worry

Nice job! I'll have to try one with the vacuum cleaner bag as a filter, at least over nose & mouth area. I have some bamboo fabric I think I'll try it with. It's fun making them

My understanding is that our best buds at the FDA have regulations and require certifications for the manufacture of hand sanitizer, and I doubt Vapecraft has jumped through these hoops. Licensed pharmacies are temporarily exempt and may "compound" hand sanitizer If they stick to certain specified formulas and labeling:

I can only shake my head as I contemplate how government complicates (and taxes) absolutely every human endeavor.

I ordered a case of 1/2 liter glass bottles. Have a couple of liters of nic still in the plastic bottles. I don't get to order much vape stuff these days.

I ended up getting a case of 12 from POD which is way more than I need right now. Even with the shipping costing almost much as the bottles it was still only a little more than getting a case of 6 from Amazon. Couldn't find single bottles anywhere. I guess it would be a lot of work to take them out of the manufacturer's case and repack them safely for mailing.

The Amazon offerings had a scary number of reviews saying the caps were junk. Like if you screwed them on a little too hard they would break in two. Several people said they used them once and they fell apart on the second use. Or they went on at an angle so they wouldn't seal. At POD you buy the caps separately. Oddly they had two identical pages for the caps I wanted. One was going for 22c, the other was 47c.

I've ordered a variety of sizes of their bottles and the polycone caps for them, quite a few times in the last 3-4 years. Some were for me, some for friends getting into DIY. Never have had a problem with any of their caps. I'd think yours from them will be fine, too.

Why doesn't that surprise me?

However, people are reporting that unrelated businesses around the country are making hand sanitizer to help with the shortage.

So they either don't know about the FDA regs or they do and don't care.

Governor Whitmer announced her stay at home order starting at midnight tonight for Michigan just now. She had to add that she has heard that more younger people in the USA are having worse covid19 effects because they vape more than European young people. UGH

I actually like the fit better with ties, but the elastic is easy. If you have an old T shirt you could make ear loops from that instead of elastic. Thanks! I work Long term care/rehab. A assisted living place nearby (12 miles) just had their first death from coronvirus. 1 worker and 3 residents popped up positive. The residents are locked down and its a dementia unit. Either the families or staff brought in the virus.

I have to make some diy e-liquid to send to family. I told them to quarantine my package. One never knows if they are a carrier or have been exposed.

I don't think its evidenced based. An opinion is like a rear end. No proof of vaping causing a increase. A good time to spew fear mongering.
