I haven't been bargain hunting lately so I don't know if there are any tempting sales right now. I can't resist trying to forecast the vape market. I figured the shut downs in China reduced supply so less incentive to have sales. But now there is pressure on demand. The possibility of shops being closed because of the virus won't encourage wholesale orders. Putting a lot of people out of work will change the way they spend their money so may be there will be more sales afterall. There are still a few things on my wish list but they aren't a priority.

Went to a local bakery this morning, got 16 5-gallon buckets (food grade, had food in them previously) with lids. Getting ready to clean them and store water. Told me to go back in 3 or 4 days for more.

I feel like I hit the lottery.

Buckets, who knew I would be elated to get buckets.
If you dont want to wait 3-4 more days check the walmart bakery. They have been known to sell their old food grade buckets from icing for $1 each :)

My local walmart no longer allows it. New policy implemented last week they said.

Tried 2 other grocery stores with bakeries and they said they didn't have any. That's when the bakery popped into my head.

I have a few more places I'm going to try on Monday. I may try some restaurants, too, but most of the time they give you pickle buckets and I can never seem to totally clean those.

MVS warning of potential NY shutdown and suspension of their operation...
The Governor (here) in NY mandated that all non-essential business reduce their staff by 100%. (Interesting way to say shut it down). So, while 'we' here on EFC may beg to differ- I doubt MVS will get essential status, or be open past the Sunday night.

If they can just find masks and toilet paper to sell, maybe they can get "essential" status.

buy a starter kit, get a roll of TP for $2.

New York’s executive order guidance - which businesses can stay opened...

5. Essential Services, Including:
  • trash and recycling collection, processing and disposal
  • mail and shipping services
  • laundromats
  • building cleaning and maintenance
  • child care services
  • auto repair
  • warehouse/distribution and fulfillment
  • funeral homes, crematoriums and cemeteries
  • storage for essential businesses
  • animal shelters
With such a vague definition, sounds like any online retailer can be defined as "essential". I didn't see anything specific for online retailers so that would put any online retailer in the warehouse/dist. fulfillment category, since that is really what they do and the storefront (a website) is not a threat to virus spreading.

But I only skimmed through it.

Yeah, I just got an email from them saying orders made after Sunday might not go through.

    Somewhere between here and there
With any luck, one of my FT orders is supposed to arrive today. I won’t be here to get it until late tonight since I have to drive 3+ hours each way to go get the rest of my daughters stuff out of her college dorm room.

Sourcemore has the Pico 21700 (mod only) for $26.79. This price is available to any account level, bronze or general. Very few in stock.

Description says it comes with with one Avatar AVB 21700 battery (30A 4000mah rating), but also takes 18650 with supplied adapter.

Mooch says that battery is overrated by 10 amps and 100mah.

I like the Pico 21700 a lot. Bigger than the Pico 75W or Pico 25, but has a nice beefy feel in the hand. I would say my hands are about medium size. I've not used the batteries yet as I don't have a charger that takes 21700 batts.

Good luck finding silicone sleeves for it though. If that's important to you, this may not be a good mod for you. I don't shop on Aliexpress, but maybe you can find a sleeve there? Checked Amazon, none there either. The Pico 25 sleeve doesn't fit it in case you're wondering lol.

I ordered two of the Pico 21700 a few days ago. I like the 21700 cell even if the size of the mod is a little larger. The price was definitely a factor in my jumping for it. I also ordered two Pico 25 mods. The FDA has made me stock up. The sales lately have accelerated my activity.

Well I took my own advice and grabbed a couple more cans of the Thrive Life freeze dried fruits and 2 of the veggies to try for the first time. If Anyone else plans to order from them do it NOW. They are nearly sold out of everything except the truly HUGE quantity buys.

My last orders are slowly trickling in vape wise. I have 2 likely to land at my door Monday. 1 old fasttech and the PG/VG order from heartland.

Folks if planning to order vape gear in the US pay attention to where the business is located. With various states going in to lockdown they might not be ABLE to deliver on a timely basis. If you are planning to do a China order get it in pronto. May 12 is coming fast and given normal China shipping the window is closing fast.

Let us know if that freeze dried food is good. I regularly freeze banana slices in the freezer. They are surprisingly good. Not the same as freeze dried but thought I’d mention it. I have some bananas that need to be frozen by tomorrow.

Seeing the positives in a bad situation, I for one have enjoyed not driving to work. No traffic, no hustle and bustle of being out in the world, no employees to deal with, and I got more accomplished by being at home. I’m not as tired or stressed and feel very calm.

I also love having a full pantry. I’m going to start making a monthly meal plan and shopping for the entire month from now on. It’s not unusual for me to go grocery shopping twice a week and it gets old. I will probably save money by planning ahead.

Both of us are home bodies so we are ok by being at home.

I love being fully stocked on vape gear. I’m thinking about making a flavor order tonight. Thanks for the reminder to check the state it’s being shipped from. I think bcf is from North Carolina. I need to go check ecigexpress or jungle flavors location. Gremberryfarm too.

eta...both jungle flavors and gremberryfarm are located in Washington state.

The fruits are great we have done those before. This is a first try on the veggies so we will see.

Anyone still looking for hand sanitizer? Kai's virgin vapor has it:

USDA organic vape juice and CBD products are our primary business, however, we heard about a local hospital chain that was literally struggling to supply their doctors and nurses with hand sanitizer while fighting the coronavirus! Hand sanitizer is in such short supply that it is sold out even at major retail outlets like Amazon and WalMart.

We quickly repurposed a large portion of our production facility to produce certified organic hospital strength hand sanitizer. Because we are a certified organic handling facility and already have mixing and bottling equipment as well as 10 years of experience in laboratory quality control, we were able to quickly step in to help with the country wide shortage.

We are working through the weekend and around the clock producing and bottling hand sanitizer so, if it is out of stock when you try to purchase, just check back with us. We add more stock a few times a day as it comes off the production line.

We are donating hand sanitizer to our local hospitals and we hope it will also help keep our wonderful vape family healthy during these trying times!

    Stay safe and sanitize often!

To me, $7.50 for 2 ounces of hand sanitizer is not a reasonable price.

It's only a couple dollars to make an entire quart, at retail prices for the alcohol and vg. A purchased quart of premixed hand sanitizer, with an aloe vera base, runs about $5 normally.

It's great that they are helping a local hospital chain, though I'd be better off donating to a NY hospital.

It is a high price. But alcohol is impossible to find right now. Amazon, Target, Walmart, CVS...none. It’s very nice they are doing this and donating it. Warms the heart.

But they have costs to figure in. Labor costs, wear and tear on machinery, just to name 2.

Normal cost, meaning stuff made by a company, bought at a store, is under $5 for a quart. Their price equates to $120/quart.

I hadn't known that isopropyl alcohol was unavailable in other areas. Where I am in NY I'm still seeing isopropyl 70%, though no 91%, with restocking occurring. Major chain supermarkets and pharmacies have limited purchase quantities, typically 2.

The 8oz twist top condiment bottles I picked up for diy eliquids work nicely for iso/vg sanitizer. I added 2 wraps of Teflon tape to the threads, zero leaking with the bottle on its side.
    5e7c68c8674d60a8cfd6e691c8fba524.jpg

I finally got around to ordering one of the PB powders, to give it a try. I went with PBfit off Amazon; it sounds like both PB2 and PBfit have lots of advocates.

On the eliquid front, my apple pie mix is getting better after a couple days steeping.

There's a company online that I've dealt with many times...who has cases of Purell Hand Sanitizer for approx. $70 per case of (24) 2oz. bottles. S/H is $10 for a case. That comes out to $3.79/bottle to your door. They also have Isopropyl Alcohol for $5.99 for a 16oz. bottle.

About what Kai's has...I don't care for the smell of lavender essential oil at all. Too much of it is sort of nausiating to me. So that alone made theirs a definite "no go" for me, even if the price had been lower.
