Well my 20 boxes of TFV12 coils finally landed state side I just noticed. Think they said I wouldn't have any tracking after that, I'm expecting them to randomly show up on my doorstep.

Might order 20 more boxes, I'm not sure yet. I have all these RDAs but currently no desire to get involved with them.

    Somewhere between here and there
I guess starting my ticket with FT worked. I had an order for some coils that hadn't moved since April 3. It appeared that they never even made it to the airport. After I submitted a ticket, all of a sudden it's moving. Now if I could just get health cabin to respond to my help desk tickets. I should have known better than to order something I was anxious to get from them. However, the last time I ordered from them I had the order in 10-12 days. It's been longer than that and it hasn't moved.

I’ve got a topside that shipped 4/1 still waiting for a flight. I also created a ticket but haven’t heard anything...

If anyone needs 18650 batteries, 18650batterystore.com has Molicel P26As at a "Deal of the Day Price" of $3.49 each.
Mooch rated these as the top all-around 18650 cell last year (slightly ahead of the VTC5A).

I have not tried them myself, but did just order some.

What is recommended time frame for batteries? Mine are a little over a year old, charging fine and still getting me through the day. No sense in getting more till I need to BUT safety comes before dollars

As long as they're not p*ssing you off, they're fine.

I might be wrong, but I thought I remember seeing a Mooch video about 2 or 3 months ago where he said basically what Territoo said assuming they are working properly and you are changing the wraps and insulators when/if needed.

If they are acting suspect in any way, just toss them. But that goes for any battery new or old.

What does it look like when they are working properly?

I have some VTC5s that are six years old now that I'm still using. Mind you, they've only been subject to very gentle and intermittent use, but I tested them last year and they were still at ~90% of their rated 2600 mAh capacity and their internal resistance was still quite good as well. Disclaimer: None of my other cells have held up quite that well over the long term, but I'm becoming pretty confident that age alone is not a big factor.

That said, I think everyone should have some spares in stock, ready to put in service when the ones you're currently using do start ticking you off. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't want to feel pressured to find replacements; I'd rather buy them when I see a deal and have them when I need them.

I also respectfully disagree with Mooch's recommendation to constantly rotate through all of one's batteries rather that using some while keeping others in storage. For best longevity, our batteries should be stored at a 40-50% state-of-charge, not fully charged, and rotating through your entire stock mean they will all spend more time fully charged than if some of them just sat in storage.

If the Rangers suspect you are a "threat to national security" they think they can go "patriot act" on you. I'm not saying they legally can, but some of the newer/younger one's think they can.
BTW, I was not employed by the National Park, just vacation rentals within the park.
Oh yes the Patriot Act when we were attacked by an outside force and somehow that meant that we as Americans were going to lose our rights and freedoms. Thereby allowing the terrorist to in fact win by substantially changing the rights and freedoms and Way of Life of the American people. I really love how it ushered in all the security theater.. which allows in has people to walk in with firearms and explosives but will throw away your toothpaste because that's the real threat

I agree, Rossum. I have six batteries that I cycle through. My charge rate is "low" and they cool before and after a charge. I my "stocked up" drawer, I have six more all charged to around 4.0 give or take, checked every so often with a multimeter. I have used the same LG batteries for a long time, I have not noticed a degradation of performance. It takes a couple of days to cycle through three and start of the second three.

I am glad to have your thoughts on "age". I have periodically wondered about my "stocked up" drawer batteries. Should I get them all out and use them or not. I have elected not to use them more because I don't want to set up any method that assures they all get used on a regular basis (some might call that lazy, I say contemplative). But the multimeter check shows the discharge rate to be negligible. I had not thought of your idea that to use them all is to leave them all fully charged most of their lives. Makes sense to me.
