 oh i never take my own advice, I don't use gloves unless I'm mixing for someone else
just saying it's a good idea :D
meh I get it on my hands often and forget and itch my eye...ug...it burns it burns....other than that, nah it doesn't bother me
but it's always a good idea to err on the side of caution....
as mentioned some peoples thresholds are higher or lower than others...mine is fairly high
7 + epidurals (to where the doctor said he couldn't give me anymore and then with my second child on a spinal iv drip) and still felt everything, even got up and walked to the bathroom after giving birth...so yeah...I have a very high tolerance to substances....

I remember way back in the day there were lots of folks here freaking out about how you have to make sure you never get ejuice on your hands and in your mouth, acting as if it was gonna kill you.

I should have been dead over 300 times by now.

I also got 100mg on my skin when I was decanting my nic stash. Nothing happened.

I'm not saying one should not be cautious. But...

I was more worried about wasting nic than it killing me or getting nic poison.
If I get 100 mg on my hands I just go wash my hands and I am fine. If I do not do that though I do get a bit of a headache. Then again even as a smoker I smoked ultra lights so I have always been a lightweight when it comes to nic.

I've been doing DIY a decade, using 100 for a decade. I'm in the shrug zone with 100, though for a new person I'd still urge them to practice safe mixing.

250 is a big bump. There are a lot of newish people starting to pop in from time to time.

It looks like I'm in the minority on this thread, odd man out.

I think it varies by the individual tolerance. If you don't know your own tolerance, sure it is best to side on caution. I remember the big warning about handling tobacco when rolling your own. If you don't wear gloves, wash your hands immediately because of nicotine absorption. I thought that was dumb. You mean if I bathe in tobacco and I never need to smoke again? How great would that be! :D

Well I am an excessive hand washer anyway and going 30 minutes without washing my hands is a long time. But even putting it off as long as I can, I don't think I ever absorbed more than a cigarette worth of nicotine when handling tobacco. People who have worked in the fields picking tobacco all day would know better than I. But those that have have told me if you have zero tolerance and picking tobacco all day without gloves you will be super sick. But people with a high tolerance, the nicotine is nothing much to worry about without gloves.

I've worked with 100mg PG nic without gloves before and I have got a few drops on my skin before. I never noticed anything nic absorption related, just slightly itchy skin if you don't wash it off right away. The itchy skin could be from the nic, or maybe the PG. YMMV. Would I get really sick if I got 1000mg on my skin? I dunno, maybe.

I normally work with 100mg/ml, but in stocking up for the vapocalypse, freezer space is definitely an issue, so I switched to 250mg/ml. In transferring it to the glass bottles, I did get some on me. I think I'm still alive. I just washed my hands when I was done. I remember the first time I handled 100mg/ml. I used a gown, facemask, and gloves.

Nah, I think most vapers, even here, prefer to top out at 100mg. It's relatively safe and easier math lol.

I probably wouldn't freak out about 250 mg nic, but man, it's so expensive. I realize it's probably similar but still, it's kind of a big bump.

The only nic that ever oxidized on me was Armor V1, which I bought under the impression it was in glass. It wasn't. I decanted the first liter, it was totally clear. The other 3 sat in the freezer for a few months until I got around to them-- it had all oxidized and yes it was in plastic but still..... I'd love to know how it did that THAT FAST when frozen. It's still usable, but it's not pretty.

Neither Heartland nor Nic River has ever come to me looking off or smelling off (although in my opinion Heartlands sort of has a mild smell of nic to it, but I actually LIKE that part.) IDK why. I say thank Goodness for Heartlands I would never have built my nic stash up so quickly otherwise. For overall consistency, taste and price I would rate it as high or higher than ANY other nic.

Thanks to all the good folks at ECF for helping me over the last 6 months learn about rebuildables and mixing. I think that I have reached a place where I'll be vaping for a long, long time!

Last minute purchases over the last week have included about 10 more RDAs, 3 more mech mods and four half-liters of 250 mg liquid to pad the stash. I hope I live long enough to use it all up.

It'll be interesting to see how ECF evolves over the coming months.

well, i mean, ecf is a world wide forum.....but for those of us in us it will probably mostly be diy talks
I mean *cough* doesn't stop those in australia and the philippians and other places where vaping was all but banned, where they can't even legal purchase nicotine....*cough* they're still here finding a way to vape.... just sayin ;)

I have bought 250 (by the gallon.. lol), wouldn't recommend to start though.. but I like the space saving it creates.

A gallon of 250mg/ml would last me 32.4 years. That's probably the rest of my life.:tumble:

Not sure if it was mentioned here yet, but I just went to Eleaf's US store just to find out they shut down their US operation almost a month ago today.

Says they have met challenges in the e-cigarette business they cannot overcome, but doesn't mention the USA climate around vape or even USA in general. I hope it's only a US thing because they have made some decent stuff over the years.

I think I've placed my last order with Eightvape. It was a nice run over the last year.

My three 2020 orders came out to exactly $80 - Tarot Baby, NRG SE tank, Aegis Max, Aegis Solo, ten 60ml chubby gorilla bottles and four Wotofo STNG attys.

2019 was a different story - those last 100 days were a rip roarin' stockers buffet!

river is definitely cheaper...but as mentioned...there have been quite a few folks I've seen posted about their nic arriving dark and not clear....so that is something to take into consideration
me for the price I'll stick with river because they are the cheapest salt nic around...
not sure why they didn't put their 100mg smooth salt nic on sale, but meh fine....grabbed a 1L of the 250 instead....that should last me a good long while, actually according to that calculator link it says it should last me like 15 years
    I only vape at 1.5mg
15 yrs  hope my nic isn't spoiled, its the excessive heat temp. during transport & how long it sits in the heat after delivery drop. I'll be looking out for the postal service

I wanted to get a gallon but didn't want to pay that price
figured 1 L of 250mg is about (a little more probably) 1/2 gallon of 100mg
and easier to store in my freezer

as far as I can tell it's just the us branch.... eleafworld.com doesn't have any notices on it
between covid and the pmta's, unfortunately I don't see a lot of stores here in the us making it through....

"the government killed vaping" I doubt it will even be mentioned on the news.
If mainstream news outlets still did any REAL reporting, the "vapocalypse" would be all over them. The implications of it are broad, deep, and frightening for everyone in the US.

Even Muslims get to have nicotine without breaking any religious laws to the best of my knowledge...
Actually, there's one stream of it that shuns all things addictive.

    "We Are Builders" not destroyers
Except vaping. We destroy vaping. Y'know, for the children.

River Supply PurNic No Coupons Codes!
    I paid $4.?? & $11.?? SH
    $50+ & under 75 lbs = free shipping.
It IS frustrating. I wanted $12.50 worth of stuff at the sale prices from them and shipping would have been $18. That's a "Nope."

I just went to Eleaf's US store just to find out they shut down their US operation
Yeah, Wismec's US store, too. :(
