I'll take this battery analyzer stuff over to the battery forum when I finish testing all my batteries but here's a report on my progress so far.

Tested a selection of HG2's of various ages.

2 month old batteries - capacity around 2700, resistance 40mO

1 year old battery - capacity 2200, resistance 47mO

3 year old battery - capacity 997, resistance 56mO

So after 3 years, which is when I have been retiring batteries, the capacity is way down.

2 year old Samsung Q30 button top I got for Provaris - capacity 2485, resistance 115. The capacity seems pretty good. Checked the resistance on some others and the resistance ranged from 85 to 110. Wonder if some of the high resistance comes from the add-on button tops. No idea how they would have measured when they were new. Since Provape used to advise using low resistance batteries I might rethink the Samsungs.

5 year old AW 2200 button tops - capacity 1975, resistance 49. Seems like they are still in good shape. Haven't used them much since I got the Samsungs. Wish they were still around.

Gourmet Vapor is doing a 30% Off Going Out of Business Sale.

Gourmet Vapor

~ Gourmet Vapor ~ Going Out Of Business Sale!! Get 30% Off Everything Storewide Using Promo Code: "PACTACT" It is with great sadness that we are being forced to shutter our online business. Under "the cover of darkness" (Christmas time/end of year government budget omnibus bill) the United States Congress amended the 2009 PACT and JENKINS ACT's to include Electronic Cigarettes. They did this deep inside the 5000+ page "COVID RELIEF BILL" that was passed. It's often common practice for our government to legislate in this way - in one huge, all-or-nothing "budget bill" at the end of the year that contains thousands of extras and "riders". These greatly impact various industries, including ours. This most recent amendment makes it a felony to ship any vape items to consumers. USPS, Fed-Ex and UPS have announced that they are cancelling our internet shipping accounts at the end of March/April. At the moment, there is NO viable solution to continue "Business to Consumer" mail/phone/internet orders. A few of the onerous requirements to stay in business include: Having a registered agent within each destination state Monthly reporting to each State Attorney General Monthly Reporting to the ATF Monthly Reporting to Local County Sheriff's Department, if Required for County-Specific rules (Flavor bans, county-specific taxes, etc.) Associated state/local Taxes collected & Remitted Cannot use the United States Postal Service Fed-Ex/UPS have both opted out Adult Signature required upon delivery IF private courier can be found. At this time, we feel like we will only be able to operate the website for about another month or so, given that the USPS is still "publishing the final rule", and there is no private courier willing to handle national distribution of individual consumer packages. As it stands, the murmured effective date of the law is April 6, 2021. We started this business to do one thing – to help folks quit smoking. Since opening, we have helped over 50,000 people get off & stay off of cigarettes with this miraculous harm-reduction technology. Unfortunately, our government benefits more when people are smoking. Tobacco is the most taxed product category in the world, and electronic cigarettes have posed a tremendous threat to those tax revenues on which state, local and federal government have become dependent. As many of you are aware, we have taken a stand on many occasions - fighting for vapor rights both locally & nationally. The reality is simple, however. We simply do not have the capacity to comply with these latest mandated regulatory actions. Thank you all so much for your patronage over the years. It has been our absolute pleasure and privilege to serve you. As a measure of gratitude, we have deeply discounted pricing throughout March to help our customers stock up. Our final shipping date will be March 30th. FREE SHIPPING ON ALL ORDERS OVER $75.00 Offer Valid Online Only At WWW.GOURMETVAPOR.COM Valid 03/10/2021 - 03/30/2021 Online Only!! I looked earlier and essential depot had some. The pg is rather expensive. The glycube seems like the best deal.
ED tripled their price last year when covid hit. They're opportunistic plague ghouls.

F**K Essential. There are always better alternatives.

Bulk Apothecary is popular and they have VG in stock now
Glycerin

They only have small bottles or truckloads of PG in stock today though
Propylene Glycol

My recommendation to @Vapeon4Life for a cigar/pod-like set-up is what I've used daily for the last few years for low wattage, high resistance MTL.

The Smok Zmax Mini is a single button, tubular, 20mm wide, VV/VW device that uses an 18350 battery, or with an extension tube an 18650. Its range is 3-6 volts or 3-15 watts and can fire coils no lower than 1.2 ohms.

VP Distributions has the Starter kit that includes an extension tube for $10.39 after discount and just the mini mod for $3.19. Use code WELCOME20 for 20% off your entire order. Ignore the shipping estimate in the cart which gives the wholesale price starting at $9.99, retail shipping starts at $3.99. For orders of $30 and more shipping is free when logged in with a registered account.

SmokTech Mini Zmax Starter Kit( FINAL SALE) - $12.99 - VP Distributions & Wholesale Supplier

SmokTech Zmax Mini VV Mod( FINAL SALE) - $3.99 - VP Distributions & Wholesale Supplier

For the pod, I recommend the GS-H5 clearomizer which uses the same MT3 coils as the Kanger eVod tanks that UncleJunkle suggested. It's the most durable clearomizer I've found. All the H2s or eVod knock-offs I've tried break or leak badly in short order.

They're available here in colors for $1.99. Shipping is $6.20. For orders of $29 or more use code FACEBOOK10 to get a 10% discount.

Clear ones are available for $2.99 here.

Tractor supply is solid gold. I don't see the point in buying it now though.
Yeah, no. Me neither. I was just reading here how a lot of the usual flavor and nic suppliers were temporarly out and thought I'd post. TSC has been mentioned quite a few times here over the years and wanted to remind everyone. I'm starting to get low and fortunately there's one down the road if the two drugstores close by are out. It's less expensive and no need for shipping.

Well I got all ~33 years of nic now. Should get the Boston Rounds on Tuesday next week, ready to decant and setup for long storage. Only a few flavors (late DIYer) but hopefully can shop around for those after the ban. Grabbed one last bottle of my favorite juice of all time for hoots.

Guess I'm in this for the long haul. Ain't nobody tellin me what I can and can't do when it comes to being healthier .
Now I get to start the fun process of figuring out what DIY juices I do and don't like. Hopefully don't waste too much nic and/or $ in the process :D

Worst case scenario I really don't mind unflavored. It's alright. Not great but not bad either. Don't get stuck with 15mL+ of something you're not big on.

Anyway, feels good to be ready for many years. Maybe things will change in a decade, who knows. Thanks to everyone with all the links and advice for doomsday prep. Might not have been a direct answer to any of my questions, but I was still reading & learning.

Mix your test batches in small quantities with 0 nic. PG,VG and flavorings are far less precious than nic. Once you figure out the percentage of flavorings you like you can add in nic :)

Thanks! I will start doing that actually. Great advice. I mixed up 2 15mL and 1 30mL so far. Not in love with them, but they are decent and I will use them up.

DIY mixes have always tasted flat to me without any nic. If you use nic in your test mixes they should taste better but it would be a good idea to mix smaller bottles til you find what you like.

I agree with this, but if you are one of those that feels the Juice changes flavors with nic, you can mix as low as 5ml assuming you have a way of measuring that low. This is how I learned (as I wanted the nic included) and still how I try new recipes

I usually do single flavor tests at 5ml and new recipes at 10ml. It's hard to do a recipe at 5ml when one of the ingredients is .5%.

Oh completely agree, any recipe with that low of an ingredient gets bumped up to something I can measure. My Goal is always to mix as little as possible so at most I use .1ml of 100ml strength nic

My biggest Problem lately is finding something new that I will like. My all day vape is a horchata/cinnamon mix, but sometimes I want a change. I just have not found anything that I really like. And with the Ban coming the last few months have been dedicated to final stock up.

Now that I am done with that and can try new things, time to head to the DYI forum and ask for suggestions I guess.
