I took My Mom to get Her 2nd Pfizer Shot today. I have been Eligible for awhile, but have held off to see what the Magnitude of Side Effects might be.

Anyway, I asked the Gal who did my Mom's Screening Question what type of Wait time there currently was for 1st Shots? She said She Didn't Know. But to go ask the Health Department Rep with the Orange Badge. So I did.

The Orange Badge told me it was Hard to Say. But If I was Eligible, and I wanted to, they would Vaccinate me right now. He went on to tell me that at the End of the Day, whatever "No Show Dosages" they had would have to be Destroyed. So if I had an Arm, he would Much Rather see them put the Vaccine in it. Verses into an Incinerator.

So I said Sure. Let's Go. And about 5 Minutes I got a later I got my 1st Shot.

I got mine done at a grocery store called Publix I don't know where you're from so if you're not in the south you probably don't know what that is lol anyhow while I was there there was two different people that showed up as couples with only one person getting the shot and both of their partners were offered the shot as well. As of Monday 18 and over are eligible 16 and up for one of the vaccines. But these people were definitely older in age and probably should have already gotten it so I'm glad to see that they got it they're in a higher risk category let's say

I Hoped that for my Mom, that She would get the J&J shot. So She would Only have to go Once. But that's OK.

I called my Dr's clinic and asked if they were giving J&J and I had to explain why I would qualify for it. Then they gave me an appointment for it. They offered Pfizer, Moderna and J&J. But our health dept is only offering Pfizer & Moderna. So pays to ask around.

Anecdotally, older people experience fewer side effects. Perhaps because their immune systems are not responding as strongly as those of younger folks. But it's just a theory. Nobody really knows for sure.

I really feel Fine. I feel a Little tired. And my Neck is Sore from a lot of Work I have been doing lately.

But then again, I often feel a Little tired late in the Day. And My Neck has given me Pains for Years. So it is more Business as Usual for being in my Mid 60's.

No Fever or Chills.
No Real Muscle Aches or Arm Pains.

Just a little Light Headed. But Not bad.

There's a lot of people who listen to the news including all the hype and drama, and have since developed a (irrational?) fear of the vaccine, including several of my family members. I've had both doses of the Moderna.

Yes, I fail to see irony when someone avoids incredible information sources. It's sad the extremists have made this health matter a political issue.

How about when Bill Gates gave a speech 11 years ago that the over population of the world will be solved through vaccines? Or the leftest last year saying they would never take a COVID vaccine. But now this year, it is suddenly the right thing to do.

Remember any mRNA vaccine never made it to human testing before (remember they are also programmable) since long term animal testing always left the animals of having a short lifespan. Although the FDA overlooked this problem this time. And remember, if something goes wrong, you can't sue the manufacture. Funny not how they set it up that way.

As for myself, I live in the county and I am retired and I am not in a hurry to join in the rat race anytime soon. So I'll just sit tight with my lifetime of vaping stash and vape on.

It's been available to 18+ for a couple weeks here in Louisiana. I delayed my shots for quite awhile because I felt that having had the bug I could wait while others in more danger got their shots. Probably a silly sentiment but there it is.

Ok no need to get political over the vaccine, I am a medical person and with all the variants popping up I feel we have little choice, the vaccine offers protection, no vaccine = no protection besides masks & distancing. So the choice is personal yes but it affects others too. If you do get Covid and are vaccined you will not need to be hospitalized and you will not die. That's good enough for me!
