I normally run about 0.35 - 0.4 ohms with zero worries.

Current = Voltage/resistance. With a fresh battery at a full 4.2V (they tend to drop to around 3.7 fairly soon), that's 12 amps - pretty trivial for modern batteries.

At 0.7 ohms you would only draw 6A at 4.2 V - if you use any recommended-for-vaping battery it should exceed that.
Exactly!

Edit: I give myself a very big margin for safety. Which is why I don't run batteries with less than a 20 amp max continuous discharge rating. That however is entirely a personal choice.

At 12A, you could use almost any battery on mooch's recommended mech battery list and be well below CDR. Though I would probably stick with the 25A or above batteries myself.

I am printing this off and putting it with my mech's, thanks for posting it!

I'm thinking I want to try the Molicel m50a 21700, pondering whether there'll be Memorial Day sales or if I should just pick some up at $8.

I've been running a set of 3 Lishen lr2170sf in a pulse X, great performers but starting to lose capacity (I vape a lot, 30ml/day - glad I DIY [emoji3]).

I bought a Molicel/NPE 21700-P42A 4200 mAh Flat Top. It should be called a Concave top though, the battery terminal is recessed below the insulator. Without a little jerry-rigging, there is no positive contact for charging, although it works fine in the single mod I've tried it in.

Mine aren't like that. The positive terminal on my P42As are flat and protrude a hair above the shoulders of the battery can. Got mine from 18650batterystore.

Well I spent way too long searching for this, but the red 10 amp automotive blade fuse was used in Reo's instead of the hot spring. With a short, the fuse would blow with a click rather than the hot spring collapsing. It is option in a pinch. A bit fiddly tho. SPRING? . . . . .. what spring?

Better than nothing if it comes down to it. I definitely printed that off for my vapocalypse notebook.

The other day I finally received my fasttech package. It was in customs for the longest time and now I know why. For some reason customs wanted to inspect my “metal tube”. All that was in my order was some ultem drip tips and some spare glass for my original profile rta. Nothing was missing thankfully but it did make me worrisome for the future.

That is worrying. Maybe it means FT is on a list for extra attention.

Did the packaging of the drip tips or the glass refer to vaping? If packages are going to be opened they might need to clean up the item packaging as well as the external label. Label the baggies air intake valve tips or glass tubes.

All it states on the package is “metal tube” and nothing referring to vaping at all.

I also found info that an evolve Kick can be used in a Reo, but you need a smaller sized battery to have enough room for it to fit. Good to know.

Couldn't you use those safety fuses we bought back when?

If vaping in the USA was basically banned completely in whatever way possible, I imagine there would only be at most a couple thousand vapers in the whole USA that will continue to vape becuase they stockpiled, if that. We 'd be like Bigfoot. People would spot one of us once in a while and no one would ever believe them.

Sally: Hey I saw one of those vapers yesterday.
    Bob: Bull:censored:.
Sally: Naw, really. It was downtown just standing around.
    Bob: What'd it look like?
Sally: Well, kinda like a human, but I couldn't see it's head, it was covered by a cloud.
    Bob: Well, yeah. Go on.
Sally: Well, then a bus rolled by and I lost sight of it for second or two. By the time the bus passed it was gone. Just like that!
Bob: I don't believe you, Sally. Everyone knows there aren't any vapers left. They all died from popcorn lung by now.
Sally: You're probably right, and that EVALI thing, too.
Bob: Right, Sally. You didn't see no vaper, hon.
