Another day, another Istick 30W.
I opened my other Istick 30W today (black) that had also been sitting unopened for 5-6 years. Same as the first one, completely dead out of box.
But started charging as soon as I attached charge cable. This one took 2 hours to fully charge, so about the same. However, as soon as I took a drag at 12, the battery indicator drop just a smidge. This battery's not in such good health as the other one I tested yesterday (silver).
Also noticed that the screen on this black one is dimmer than the on the. I tried to take a picture, but on the picture the look about the same. But IRL, the black one's screen is definitely dimmer my maybe 25-33%. I also noticed that the color of the screen on the solver Istick is very much white whereas on the black one it's ha a blue hue. This may be due to the fact that it's dim. I dunno.
I also checked the black one against my unusable 30W and 20W isticks that have seen extensive use in their lives, and the black one is dimmer than those, however the silver one I busted out yesterday is brighter than all of them. Heck, it could be the screen on the silver one is too bright? lol
Hard to say if what I'm experiencing with the black one is due to long term storage because for all I know the black one is a mildly defective unit. No clue. Both were bought at the same time using the same vendor.
I haven't yet tested the black one so I have no idea how long one charge is gonna last but so far looks like may not as long as the silver. Too early to say. The battery indicator dropping almost immediately isn't a good indicator of how long I'll get out of it between charges.
