Are you done stocking up?

Vapesourcing has Solo mods in stock at the US warehouse. All the basic colors. I got 3 for $102 with the on-site coupon. Free shipping over $100. They have the Solo 2 as well but I prefer the originals. I got some Solos once for $24, but $34 is pretty good.

Figured I should stock up while they are available. I have a bunch of Picos but they worry me a little. The screens are fading on quite a few of them, and the fire button on one seems to be getting dodgy.

i have one Pico (my first one I bought in maybe 2016) that started getting a faded screen about 2 years ago. Hasn't changed since, though.

On that same mod, I opened it once (just for curiosity's sake). When I put it back together, the fire button was too mushy. Opened it back up but nothing looked amiss. Opened it back up a few times because the button was just too mushy to use it (but still usable). Then I noticed the back of the fire button had a hole in it and looked like something was supposed to be there. I think maybe there was a pin of some kind in there that pushed against the silicone piece that gives the fire button it's springiness. I was able to fix the mushy button by taking the 510 pin from a Kanger Subtank OCC coil head, cutting it down it's post a couple millimeters and using that to replace the pin that I think was behind the fire button. Now it works exactly as my newer ones do, same exact feel, click and springiness.

You must have mystical powers Uncle. Just by responding to my post you caused that dodgy Pico button start working perfectly again.

I'll save your suggestion anyway, I have a few Subtank coils sitting around that I never used. Are those buttons easy to get to? I know the screws that hold the top in place come out pretty easy, I've had to tighten them up from time to time.

Well, it's easy to get to I guess, but it takes a little finesse to get it back in. But It's totally doable after you do it a few times, like i did lol. IIRC, to take the mod completely apart, you have to remove the ground wire from the bottom cap, which is screwed in (but don't quote me on that. Something keeps the mod from being able to be disassembled and it's on the bottom cap, but I can't remember 100%). Also the spring assembly on the negative battery contact is something to be extra careful with not to lose any parts. I wish I would have taken pictures when I took mine apart. I don't want to do it again because I want to see how long it takes this 1st Pico to die a "natural" death.

I know the screws that hold the top in place come out pretty easy, I've had to tighten them up from time to time.

I've never had to do that on Pico 75W but I do have to tighten them on the Pico Mega once in a while. The Pico 75W screws are a half size. Not quite a T5 or a T6, but a T5.5. The heads are easy to strip. I don't have a T5.5 bit so what I found works best is to use the T6 to loosen the screw then use the T5 to unscrew it the rest of the way, using firm and steady pressure when using each bit.

I do hope you are right but at this point I wouldn't put anything past them. I can see them requiring a special license to purchase vg/pg without the bitter agent. Maybe my tinfoil hat is to tight :lol::lol:

No, the only flavors we are going to be allowed are things like... "The big schtank" which will be reminiscent of skunk booty glands, but not the good kind of schtank, not like the weed.

Sadly that is going to be the case for folks that haven't already stocked up. The powers that be can't take my flavors from me since I make my own e-liquid. They can't take vaping from me because I re-build my own coils. I am well set on toppers and battery holders to power them. I will be able to continue vaping for the rest of my life. Guess I need to will my nicotine and various vape supplies to someone since I have enough to last the rest of my life even if I live another 20 years. :D

There is still time to stock up but I fear that window is closing. The 100mg nicotine I see today is at least twice as expensive as it was while I was stocking up but even with today's prices it will still be cheaper than going back to smoking and so much healthier. It isn't too late to become self sufficient. Even if you can still buy your favorite e-liquid it will pay in the long run to have some nicotine in your freezer. I am pulling out nicotine bought in 2012 and it is still as crystal clear as it was the day I got it. PG. VG and flavorings should still remain available but if those that demonize vaping get their way we will no longer be able to buy nicotine or the refillable equipment needed to vape it.

Fight and hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.

And the sheeple will be allowed to legally club you to death when they see you vaping out on the street or even in your own car.

Same here. My freezer is still half full of nicotine. I won't live that long.

I was thinking about this the other day. Since I moved to Clarksville, I have only seen about 10 people smoking and only 1 or 2 vaping. It isn't a tiny town, either. Schools are putting in detectors to catch students vaping. I feel like I am in the twilight zone cause I remember when everyone smoked, everywhere and I couldn't get away from it. Now it is demonized as well as vaping, treated the same here at least.

I don't know if it will go that far since it hasn't happened to smokers but I agree there are way too many sheeple out there that have been brainwashed into believing whatever they read from those demonizing vaping.

Only have enough nic for 30 years, and I'm 73. Then again, my dad just celebrated 100. Maybe I need some more...
While stocking up I still held out hope that hubby would make the switch so I stocked up enough for both of us. He is vaping a lot more than he is smoking. He goes for a while and then the allure of the smoke is more than he can take and he will buy a pack or two. I too am 73, he is 72. 20 more years is not out of the realm of possibility for us.

    No you can't
The other day took inventory on my nic down to last 3 bottles 60 ml each. At my age 77 not to worried about it. ALREADY dropped the nic down to 3mg also have 1500 ml on the shelf mixed ready to vape. I'll be putting my last order in order in tomorrow - 3 liters PG gallon of VG and some more vanilla & candy cotton and am done. Enough to get me into my 80's
