Also I think if vendors refuse to provide the information requested, we have a right to keep a LIST of them as refusing to do so. A LIST that we can keep on a sticky or available elsewhere on ECF. I think ECF would love that -- all of us wanting to be safe consumers and avoiding all possible danger. It would certainly put ECF in a favorable light.

If the vendors refuse to cooperate, we can state someting similar to the Surgeon's General warning on cigarette packages: May be hazardous to your health! vape at your own risk!

Great! Now we are talking about Warning Labels and Blacklists! Maybe we should just take the offending suppliers out and burn them at the stake.

I, for one, think there's a big difference between blacklisting and holding suppliers accountable for lack of knowledge and care concerning their products. I'm not for creating a list and labeling these suppliers as evil, horrible people with claws and fangs, but I am for providing information to the vaping community so that they can make an informed decision for themselves. We're not talking about judging or burning at the stake, we're talking about presenting facts. If the facts are presented and people still decide to go with these vendors based on past experiences and good customer service, that is totally fine with me.

I agree. We have the right to be informed consumers. I don't understand how some people can think this issue is not a big deal, because it is. IT"S HUGE.

Diacetyl inhalation= Very unhealthy. I have chosen to avoid it at all cost's, if a supplier chooses to not disclose pertinent information for me to make my decision, I'll take my business elswhere. It's as simple as that.

I can't understand why certain people would rather get sick and loyally defend a vendor to the death. What's wrong with warning labels and letting everyone decide for themselves if they want to risk it. I think if a vendor is unwilling to do so, he's hiding something and doesn't deserve the business.

Yep. And was going to comment upon it (both of the last two comments, in fact) but guess I was too late. I am.. honestly now I'm kind of at a loss for words, and that never happens!

If I also saw what you did, that says a lot. Gotta love the kill the messenger paranoia that's ringing. But if anyone had bothered to do a forum search of diacetyl, you'd find that it has been asked a number of times in several different vendors' forums and been discussed in a few places. But nothing will circle the wagons like making the minions feel singled out and persecuted, so facts can be ignored, science refuted, and documentation disregarded. This is why burning at the stake may not be necessary, but some type of self-regulation would be a wonderful thing.

I know, I just kept thinking WOW, to both posts.

Just goes to show you how this issue was so needed to be brought up and put out into the forefront.

I am going to be careful in what I say now and be the informed consumer that I am trying to be. Take what I now know and use that information to my advantage.

I'm not a happy consumer right now. That is the most juvenile thing I've seen in a long time.

Shan, did you see what I saw???

I am totally confused and extremely curious what I'm missed. Please enlighten me even if you need to PM me. Thanks in advance.

without having to dig through 13 pages of posts, can someone just tell me WHICH companies besides BWB do not use diacetyl? That's all I need to know.

So far Backwoods Brew, Vapor Renu, Juicy Liquids, Decadent Vapor(Sold at Totally Wicked) all have stated that there is no Diacetyl in there juices. Those are only the ones I can remember though. As some have said though, it would be nice to see some lab tests. Two companies currently lab test, Ecopure/Intellicig sold at Cignot and Intellicig-usa, and esmoke.

For DIY flavors: LorAnn's states in the FAQ/Tips section of the website that they do not use Diacetyl in any of their flavorings. I haven't seen Capella's website yet.

I think they are talking about one supplier's associates questioning the OPs motives, the fact that he is a very new member, and insinuating that competitive juice suppliers or big tobacco could be involved in these threads.

I don't think they were trying to sweep the issue under the rug, I think the atmosphere surrounding this issue is just a little intense.
