Kayfun V4 1:1 Clone by KGOTECH (Medical grade 316 steel)
what do you guys think of this? I've never heard of kgotech before.

i'm wondering this to. I have heard of them but that's about it! they also have a KGO Taifun GT2 listed....

Something I've noticed that's strange. I haven't read of one KF v4 clone that was bad or garbage yet. Yes, there's some issues but most are easily overcome.

Maybe we're just a smart, handy bunch that can fix anything

my wifes clone has been leaking out the bottom. seems to be around the air flow ring

now, it worked perfectly when I set it up for her. not sure what she did

any ideas?

Same issue I had. O-ring #16. Someone mentioned that you can put dental floss around the base before you put the o-ring on and that gives enough thickness to stop the leak.

Just wait till I get my hands on it...

If you can't figure it out, I'm sure someone here can help you :toast:

What's the current best build quality clone right now?

I have the FT A version with black o-rings and other than #16 o-ring, it's great. I have a Tobeco black and the black o-ring version from FC coming. Tobeco seems to be a solid choice if you're undecided but that's just from what I've read so far.

I kind of wish I went with the black Tobeco from the Custom mod Creations site. Now I'm going to have a harder time telling the two apart!

I hate it when people bash these clones on other threads. SMH...

Ignore them.

That's where I ordered my black one. It was supposed to ship Monday but no word from them yet.

mine came in today from FT. nothing broken. very complicated piece of over engineered german atty copied by chineses labor force. have all day to play with it tomorrow and friday. will see if i can make it work.

Put some dental floss or thread in the channel where #16 o-ring goes so you don't have any leaking into the air chamber. I used about 10" of thread wrapped around the channel and it's perfect.

Down to buyers remorse I'd imagine - the folks that bought the authentic paid $180+ and a month later you can pick up near perfect copies for $20.
For some (not all) it's also the loss of bragging rights.

If had the money I still wouldn't be forking out such silly amounts for an atty, it's a really good device but it's certainly not a revolutionary one,

I'll buy 2 to try. Great deals on clones these days.

So which versions are not having the "too large" #7 piece? I have the Amod one. I may pick up the tobeco to replace it if people are having no problems with the juice control on that one.

Just to clarify this it is not that ring #7 is too thick, the problem lies with the square protrusion that butts into the square hole of #3. the protrusion is machined too short (could be the square hole in #3 is machined too deep or both) It just so happen that clearance can be gained by reducing the thickness of #7 which while it works isn't the best option.
