Ecf has NOT been very friendly, today. Error 522 is all I got for upwards of two hours. Ah, well. First world problems.

My K5 arrived, as did three juices - my first from HHV. The K5 is still in the box. The juices are all uncapped and breathing. Hummm. What does that say about me? :)
Uh, hurry up and wait? :)

Ok, I think I figured out the liquid control. Just a tad confusing because you think you are unscrewing something inside and taking apart the tank? I don't know....just weird to me.

Overall, I can live with the airflow, just a bit looser than what I like. I imagine I will get used to it....

Flavor does seem to be a bit better than the KFL but it could have something to do with having a fresh coil and wick. I do notice an undertone in the DF that I've not tasted before. It is so not a bad note! Same bottle that I've been using, in fact, it is almost empty.
Took me three times to build a coil for this. I just suck at building.

Once I figured out how to mount the coil (third time is the charm ;) ) and use the arms to my advantage...much better.

Filling... O.M.G. I am in love! HHV's bottles are absolutely perfect for this device! I noticed that the glass droppers, the reviewers on the videos used, they had to keep going back to their bottles and filling the droppers back up. Me, I just squeeze till filled. THIS is Ideal! Finally something that is easier to fill than the Nova was.

Thumbs up from me
I thought it was just me who struggled with how to mount a coil on the Kayfun 5!! Took me a good 20 minutes to figure out. Firstly, I thought it had to go right beside the screws, meaning the screws have to backed A LONG WAY out. Then I finally realised you can avoid that and go around the outer blocks. It really is very simple to build on.

My KF5 arrived yesterday, so I cleaned it up and threw on a quick build to give it a test run. First and foremost, the tank is nowhere nearly as aesthetically pleasing as the KF4. Compared to the work of art that the KF4 was, the KF5 looks extremely utilitarian. Oh well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?

The airflow control implementation is a truly innovative idea. I'm mostly a MTL vaper, although I subohm every now and then, so I was a bit concerned about the loose draw. However, when I set the airflow to 1 (the hole size is designated by dots, 1 being the smallest, 4 being the largest), I got what I consider to be the perfect MTL hit. So far, I like the tank, despite the fact that it's not as pretty as its predecessor. It is, however, extremely simple to use, due to the fact that it's not comprised of as many parts as the KF4. Am I blown away by the KF5? Certainly not. Is it a quality, easy to build RTA with great airflow and excellent flavor production? Absolutely.
Agree there. The Kayfun V4 certainly was/still is a magnificent work of art. A thing of beauty.

Nothing like a good vape on the way home after a busy day! Serendipity on the right, DF on the left

Hope everyone has taken The United States Vapers’ Survey

Here is what I wrote in explanations:
1. It is not about harm 'elimination' ~ it is about harm "reduction".
2. Vaping is a Healthier "Alternative" to tobacco smoking.
3. Vaping DOES HELP us quit smoking. Other NRT products don't work.
4. Doctors, scientists and researchers agree on the above three points ~ it is only the regulators who "think" otherwise.
5. Nicotine is NOT the enemy, it is the Tar and those 7000 chemicals in a tobacco cigarette which kill us. Nicotine is "only" as addictive as coffee. Ban coffee first and then we'll talk.
6. Vaping cannot be stopped. IT IS THE FUTURE OF SMOKING.
7. I have quit smoking completely with my first e-cigarette purchase. It's been 5-yrs of smoke free, thanks to vaping (the savior). And I have regained my health back completely. I feel better, I look better, I smell better and my annual medical reports are getting better and better.
8. There's no way regulators can make us go back to tobacco cigarettes. We will continue to vape - regulation or no regulation.
9. E-cigarettes can be made at home with commonly found stuff. So regulating it is actually of no use.
10. The only thing regulations will do is "slow down" the process/pace of new vaper conversions (smoker-to-vaper). But eventually every smoker will see the light and choose the right path of vaping.
THIS PHENOMENON IS UNSTOPPABLE.

Guys got a question for the v5 owners. My key criteria when evaluating a tank after the vape experience is the maintenance of it. The v4 was right beetroot to maintain. What people's experience with the v5? What has been your cleaning routine. Very interested in 0.3 to 0.5 ohm users. How is the condensation build up? Condensation killed my v4 so many times I gave up. Seriously looking to get a v5. Only seen one bell cap on the net so far. Anyone using a bellcap? Please post photos and anything you noticed. Also I noticed that creme de vape have restriction add on to reduce air chamber. Think I might get this tank as an Eid present to myself, mind you will not be able to touch for the next several weeks. Also can anyone comment if the tank arrived clean or did you alcohol bathe is to make is nice.

What has been your cleaning routine.
Nothing specific. Just like any other atty.

None.

How about a video ;) Kayfun 5: Quick Wick

Qorax...how often do you change your wick? Trying gauge and compare if we similar types of wickers.

Every 6-8mls. Max 10ml if I am feeling lethargic. As with all my atties.

Eid Mubarak!

I'm starting to get quite disappointed in my K5's. The vape has been terrific. However, today for the 3rd time in a week, it decided to spontaneously start leaking like a sieve. I've tried several different wicking styles, and all have shown the same result. The only way I can get it to stop, is to completely close the juice flow, then remove and immediately replace the top cap. Never once had this issue with KF4.
The only common denominator has been going from a cool air conditioned environment to the outside heat.
I have noticed the the small outer o-ring of the cap appears a little loose, so perhaps it's allowing outside pressure into the tank. I'll try changing that with a spare, and see how it works out.

Don't know what to say except try changing the orings but you already said that. Let us know how it works.

I don't know why but I like this tank so much better on my Radius. 15w with the boost turned up to 2. If I put it on something else I don't enjoy it nearly as much...even fiddling with the wattage. I see a second Radius coming soon!
Love that boost feature. That was a God Send for us tootle puffers.

Cleaning: K5 is way easier to take apart and clean vs. K4. I will say this, I felt that the K5 out of the box had a little machine oil smell, on both tanks I got. I first ran it in the ultrasonic cleaner with hot water and dish soap, then a second time with just hot water, all good now.

You should just get a second one as a Eid present for yourself

I took the survey, but I was nowhere near as eloquent in my responses. :thumb:
