The thing should not be leaking e-liquid. Are you sure it is e-liquid?
Yup. Just tried rewicking with rayon. We'll see how that goes vs kogendo. I've tried various amounts of wicking and it just keeps doing it. Frustrated with it.

I can't get this damn thing to stop having a bunch of e-liquid on the bottom of the atty and all up in my 510.
Nearly all of my KMV3 and my K5 do this occasionally to some degree. Tightening the hex nut to the block and the center pin has eliminated or minimized this issue for me.

This issue of seepage from the base does not appear to be related to wicking. Not sure what the root cause is, but tightening that hex nut and center pin has reduced or eliminated it for me.

My center pin is tight. What/where is this hex nut you speak of? Thanks!

I am having the same issue - although I did as someone suggested (sorry, I can't remember who, but it was earlier in this thread) and took it completely apart, cleaned it and put it back together - making sure everything was tight. It appears to be leaking more slowly now, but is definitely leaking from the bottom around the AFC (and it is definitely e-liquid). The flavor is great, but the leaking is very frustrating! Just cleaned it (again) - next time I'll snap a picture.

ETA: It was magicmyst - and it did help, but still leaks some.

I've been using KM3s and have had no leaking whatsoever. I have a K5 but it's up on blocks till I get an M2L kit.

I can only think to change the orings that go around the deck. One of them keeps the juice from going through the airway. But truthfully, since I have not had this problem I have not torn into it.

Careful with tightening that center pin. If you put too much muscle into it the pin will snap. Snug is all you should have to do.

From another forum, KY_Rob was getting leaking, and found it was due to overfilling it, don't go past the grate when filling.

Not saying that is your problem, just putting it out there in case.
This is excellent advice.

As an initial experiment, try filling only 3/4s and see what happens.

I thought that might be the initial problem, so I've been careful to keep the e-liquid level below the "grate". I will try holding it upside down when I open the juice control, the next time I refill (instead of during it sideways).

It was still seeping with the Rayon wick. Disassembled the bottom, cleaned, lubed, and reassembled. Checked O-rings carefully and all looked fine there. Couldn't really tell if that hex was loose. Snugged things sufficiently. Fresh coil and wick and out for a test drive now. We'll see.
