Nice new steel section for my Prime arrived yesterday.

I like the look of the steel and would use it but for my nagging concern about the fluid level inside. When mine arrives, I am going to give it a try. I will meditate upon the safety features of my new found TC JAC.

I love the look of the all steel. Glass is nice too. But as we all know glass can break. Steel gives me peace of mind because I’m known to drop things. Best thing to do is use the glass for a week or two, to get used to it and see how quickly your liquid level is being used. Then go for the steel. I find though that I can sense the tank starting to dry up just before it happens. You will get a vape that just tastes a bit different. Not dry or nasty, but just slightly less flavourful and a bit different. Then you’ll know it’s time to refill.

Even with TC I still have that nagging concern for juice level. :)

I think they said there are seven variations of the steel tank, each one with a different city on it.

I like the look of the Prime logo tank, as pictured above.
Oh yes, I remember now...I think mine is st. Petersburg or something. ..

I put on the PEI tank today - it's pretty fabulous and solves LJA (low juice anxiety) quite nicely. It's a relief not to worry about the glass breaking too. As usual ordered from OV and shipping was ridiculously fast. You can nab it here: Svoe Mesto Kayfun Prime PEI tank kit includes PEI Ultem viewing window, drip tip and new barrel!

Pros: no more worry about breaking the glass, looks quite nice
Cons: condensation now visible inside the drip tip (troublesome only if you have OCD like me), and also I lost my way of gauging how open the juice control is (I used to go by the prime logo, which is now not visible).

Overall I would recommend it for anyone who takes their prime with them on the go. It looks good and I no longer have to worry about it banging around in my cup holder when I drive.

Oh and one more thing - I had to order a replacement for the original black drip tip too after tearing up the threads. Not sure if this has been an issue for others, but I figured I would mention it. Be careful with those threads boys and girls. They be dainty.

I can't comment on the prime other than to say I really like the clone. Enough to consider buying an original. If anyone has both, I'd love to hear differences between them (hope I am not violating the spirit of this thread.... if so, please ignore me).

Anna

Anna ... I have both and have talked about 'em on the Front Porch. So as not to adulterate this thread I'll just give you a link to one of my posts over there.

That PEI tank looks really sharp.

I'm still sitting on the fence with this one.

I already have multiple KFMv3's.

Why would this be a useful addition to the vape pile?
Not sure what having a few km3's has to do with it, but I would say if you either simply like the looks or are a glass breaker...it's just a looks thing really, just like my wave tank addition. ..it's still not a whole new atomizer, just a different tank

Hello guys,

New member in the forum and relatevily new in Vaping. Last week I purchased a Kayfun Prime, moving from the trusty Nautilus 2. It's my first RDA/RTA and I found the whole wicking process easy and intresting so I'm experimenting with different builds (once per day) till I find the sweet spot for me. Since the purchase of a Kayfun was a big jump for me (and for my pocket), let me ask the silly question of the day.
After a week of use I just noticed that the polishing in a small area of the Chimney's base became matt (not as polished as the rest of the Chimney's cylinder)
I'm reffering to the Chimeny's area that unveils when opening the Liquid Control but is hidden inside the air flow ring once the liquids are fully closed. To my understanding this happens due to the friction between Chimney and Air Flow cylinder when playing with the Liquid or Air Flow settings, however I'm curious if it's something common/normal.

I'm sorry in advance for my English, and the way I tried to describe my"issue".
