it sound to me that these attys are defective someone should report this to the manufacture or factory so they can fix the problem. has anyone done this?

joyetech denies there is a problem. No matter how much evidence they're given they maintain it's "user error"!

Other than getting the word out and for people to stop buying their attys I don't know how you deal with this mentality.

Well, in that case, it's the sellers responsibility to replace the faulty product they sold. Even if it was not their fault.

Yep, and the only strength we have against the worst case of manufacturer's defect in the history of ECF (according to a ECF Moderator, Sun Vaporer's post) is to complain to our suppliers.

I encourage everyone with these bad attys to contact the vendors they purchased them from and tell them you want restitution. Make them put pressure on Joye to get their quality control act together and find out exactly what is wrong and correct it. We have the power by not purchasing Joye manufactured products until they do!

GoodDog,

Allow sufficient time for the atty to absorb the juice between hits.

Draw / pull harder on on ur pv. It better delivers the juice to the atty, thus keeping it moist - no burnt taste. Worked for me.

Thank you for this advise. I was getting a burnt taste with my tasty finger. Took a hard draw, instead of a long slow vape, and was much better. Thank you.:thumb:

well, i got my bauway atomizers in today, as well as my batteries from totally wicked...

the batteries are awesome and worth buying. it lasted me all day and i constantly vape, even in class hah.

im less than impressed with the bauway atomizers however. the resistance is lower than the ones i have, but alas, im still not getting much flavor. and for some reason im having a flooding problem with all my carts (have tried several different mods and its either too much juice or not enough)...so.... i will continue my search for some lower resistance atomizers..

i just hope theyre priced well. from december 15 of 2009 to march 27 2010, i have spent $375 on this Ecig switch lol, not counting the BLU kit i bought and hated a few months before my 510 experience.. and while im happy to be off analogs, my wallet is hating me haha

The Bauway atomizers work great for me. They vape more like a 901, than a typical 510 atty.

I was getting a burnt taste from a couple of them, but after removing the wicks they worked fine.

Why are you looking for low resistance atomizers? Are you using standard 510 batts?

I have a LR atty from nhaler coming soon. Should I remove the wicking threads from the get-go to prevent any burnt/metallic taste?

If you read through this thread (yes I know it's long) you'll find that the wicking fibers have nothing to do with the burnt taste. It's the metal mesh which is defective and made of an inferior material.

Please update us on how those attys work out for you, I've been eyeing those LR attys for a while now, does anyone know who manufacturers them?

i sent out a couple emails to various vendors asking them for the resistance rating on their atomizers.

a lot of people report that the normal resistance range on the 510s is 2.2 - 2.5 ohms. so im guessing that the first kit i got was an authentic joytech kit and the other kits iv tried have been clones or knockoffs or whatever.

either that or they decided to increase the resistance to the 3.x - 4.x range to extend the life of the atomizers.

It is indeed that nickel metal wicking mesh that is doing this. It is not suppose to burn and the metal must be inferior.

Sun, are all the reports attributable to JoyeTech? Curious as there are reports of counterfeit attys on the market (not copy or clones, product has or is marked or otherwise represented as authentic Joye manufacture).

Any other updates you can share?

Just what I posted Kai--it is across the board. Bear in mind that their are 10 factories in China banging these e-cigs out. These "Brand" companies can and do sub contract out for product to be built for them and my take is that one of these factories got a in a batch of bad nickel mesh that they used in the production of many 510's for different vendors. Hence the reason it is across the board.

I believe this burning of the mesh material has been going on longer then we realize. I noticed it about 2 months ago. Mesh turns dull gray and if touched crumbles to dust. My Joye attys are lasting about 2 weeks tops. On top of the mesh problem is the coils getting so coated they won't heat up enough, just sizzle. I've got 15 in a baggy right now from about 3 months or a little more. But I do vape all day both batteries and 5v pt

I am pretty sure that all of this is coming from the wick not delivering the liquid all over the coil. if the wick is not getting enough liquid it will get too hot. The heat from this might be what is destroying the zinck mesh on some atomizers too.
Hawk52501 put a link to a thread i made where there is some pics of an inferior wick on a brand new atomizer

The only bad taste that ever occurs with this setup is an accidental dry burn or the coil needs a quick rinse and clean.
I did not have time to read this whole thread but saw this and wanted to ask can you explain how to do a quick rinse and clean. Sorry if this has already been covered but I have a hard time with information overload.. :(
Thanks

Troll? or the real deal?

I think it's infulent by three aspects:
1.we should keep the atomizer moist ,if the liquid is used out,it may smelling a little burnt taste, because it works like this :liquid flow to atomizer by line(which material can bear high temperature),when you smoke ,the heating wire are trun red,so ,if there is no liquid ,it only can burn the lines,so smelling burnt. If the liquid is enough ,i think it will much better
2.The liquid quality is too bad ,i think bad liquid of course lead to bad smelling.
3.Maybe we should smoking one mouth, then ,after 5 seconds,we begin the second, because if we don't have any stop but continuous,it means the heating wire still burning.
4.Maybe also infulent by the structure in side.Different design maybe have different questions, may be we should find a good desing in side,For easy change the liquild to smoking .
