It will be impossible for me to vote according to this single issue. I know today who I will be voting for in November of 2020 for the chief executive. His stance on this one issue will not change that vote.
If anyone wants to be a single issue voter, so be it, but I cannot be a single issue voter.
Fair enough. Full disclosure, I agree with more of Trump's policies than I don't agree with. But if he goes through with a flavor ban, I can see that the future of vaping is hopeless. So if he signs it, he doesn't get my vote.
I don't like any of the democrate candidates or their policies. IMHO, they are too far to the left and too much like socialism. So they won't get my vote.
So, It's entirely possible I may not vote for a presidential candidate next year. I've done it before by only voting on issues.

It's a damn shame but I feel the same way the best we can hope for is someone comes out of the 'Swamp' with a little bit of sense and some big cojones to stand up and challenge him.
I understand, Baditude, this is a dilemma for many of us. Your passion for a safe (or less risky) vaping alternative to combustibles in this forum is well known and obviously is very important to you. For myself, I am not really "torn" and hate that this administration may put another federal nail in the vaping coffin. For me, it is a weighing of issues or policies and the one issue does not out weigh all of the other issues.
Whatever the feds don't do many of the states will seek to do, though the scope of their can't be as effective as federal action, however, it will be a spanner in the ole gearbox.

No one supports vaping in government I never assumed any would. As far trump goes he cares nothing about vapers, he does care about votes, so maybe the scare tactic will work? Maybe he could relate if there was a ban on Big Macs or something, something he loved and can relate to. Vaping he does not relate to.

To be honest, until the last presidential election, I didn't think we were. If someone else picks the marbles that go in the hat and you get to choose from the pre-picked marbles, did you really choose?
As far as whether we are "afforded"... this is OUR country; not theirs. They are public servants; representatives. We were to be their master. Remember?

If you're a vaper who shouted "lock her up" and "build that wall" at his rallies, are you not gonna vote for him because of a flavor ban!? I don't think so. And the reverse is true as well. He could give me a lifetime supply of free vapes of my choice. Still not gonna vote for him. And Trump knows this.
That said, please call (and bluff) ....and sign petitions etc...
My Choice to use the word Afforded was a subtle Reminder that there are Many Places in the World where the People Do Not have this Privilege.
But Don't you See? That is the Beauty of putting things in the Context of "the Average Vaper".
That it Doesn't Matter if you are R or a D or an I or even a Non-Voter. Or if you Want This or Don't That. Or believe in One Things and Not in Another. Or if Some Issues you can go Both Ways on. Depending on just what the Specifics of what the Implementation is.
All that Maters is you are a Vaper. And you Don't Support Trump instructing the FDA to Ban Flavors.
Fair enough. But I'm willing to bet that the majority of Americans, regardless of how they feel about Trump, do support it.
