Got a tip for any noob nano coil builders like myself, leave the legs long on your coils. This way u can keep the two open ends of the coil away from the saturated bunch of cotton. Another tip is to apply ample pressure when seating the coil into the cotton.

Apologies tfnc, I start typing and things just start to come out. I was laughing so hard when I saw what I typed, and where it went. Then I couldn't get the bunny foo foo song out of my head. I'm just glad that I wasn't the only one that got a chuckle. I'll try and make sure I've taken my meds when I'm on the forum from now on!. lol.
Hey ITEO how big is your IGO-L air hole? I have mine drilled to 1/16 I was curios if you had gone bigger for this particular setup.

Well did my best build so far with the vertical mounted Romulan Warp Core build. 1.4 ohm cooking at 15 watts, all I can say is that the Volcanic Dragon is going Warp 9 now. Started out at 3.9 volts, vaped good, then kicked it up to 4.5 volts, and got a comm from Scottie, saying something about the dielithium crystals couldn't handle more power. So I cranked it up to 4.7, should of trusted Scottie, E2 error. lol. Seems this build just keeps getting better.
My last build was edging up to 2.6 ohms so could only get 13 watts out of the Provari and going through batteries fast, so finally wrapped a new coil for the Russian, using a needle syringe from a juice bottle, wrapping it in my drill. Nice tight coils with this method. Did the Squeeze torch trick to set the coils. Working very nice. Have 2 Rockets with the same build, and just ordered a Terminator-C R/A V2 tank from Stormy's Vapor Cellar. Getting a nice collection of rba's and it ain't even X-mass yet.

Cool dice I'm finding the wicking on the oddy vertical build to be challenging I'll get it right and it vapes great.. go and replace it and I'm having trouble replicating it. It's pretty tricky. Gonna have to open this up at work here and see if I can improve the wicking.

what are you using for a mod? at 2.1 you will have to give it some decent voltage to have it spew vapor. also, i found that even if there is one little strand of cotton blocking the holes, it will not work like it should.
I would guess, by the pic, that once you added juice, the coil isn't in good enough contact with the cotton. Try pushing it down a little.......and I agree with the above about the ohms as well.
I just built one for my ego twiste. 14 wrap on a 5/64bit and it came out to 2ohms I think. at 4.7v its takes a little to heat up but will put out some good vape. it doesnt hold a candle to my mech set up but not bad.

by some peaches and creme cotton yarn for walmart, boil it for 10-15 minutes and dry it. I tried the cotton puff under the coil a few times and it doesnt work as well IMO as the yarn.
Great thread ladies and gents!!! Thank you! Have been building mini coils (14ga needle coils) and running cotton through them on my RSST. How do you get the bed of cotton under the nano coil to draw liquid from the tank on an RSST? Do you pass a cotton point in through the wick hole and into the tank an d then lay a bed of cotton on it?

You seem to have very little wick. As suggested, you'll want to press the coil into the bed a little more. Once you are saturated and buried grab a needle and shape the cotton near the end holes to shape a clearing for them.

First attempt on an IGO-W, vapor production is stupid and the 18mg Bobas is laying me out. Gonna have to drop the nic if I am going to continue to use this build
I couldn't imagine doing 18mg nic, I usually do 6mg's and that is too much sometimes
