Good morning Voltville. I have a severe caffine deficiency this morning. Correcting at the moment.

Me, too, Wuzz.

Good morning, Voltpeeps. I am wiped out after my big new cleaning job. The lady has a corgi:) She was very happy with the cleaning job and I will be going back on Monday and then cleaning every other week. She is a very nice lady and her mom cleans houses so she tipped me. I like it!

Looks like I'll have to take a photo of my dishes since I can't seem to get a photo or link to work from the internet.

Your parts seem to be moving at the same speed as my new dishes. I finally got them yesterday!

My new rugs for the kitchen took even longer.

The good news is the price was right.

Now I am debating with myself whether or not to buy one more set. Eight plates and bowls is maybe not enough. I had a lot more with my last set of dishes, maybe sixteen. That was a lot so maybe 12 plates and bowls is the right amount.

I'd say 8 is plenty unless you plan to have large dinner parties. When you had your recent party, didn't you use paper plates? Would you ever need more than 8 dinner plates?

Of course, for the BBQ we used paper plates.

I think what happens for us is we do a lot of cooking and we tend to use plates to take stuff out to the BBQ and such.

I just bought some Pyrex one and two cup bowls with plastic lids to use for the Chinese food. We end up with a small appetizer plate for each item... the meat, onions, garlic, carrots, summer squash, green beans, pea pods, etc. Each item goes into the wok based on how long it takes to cook, so each item is separate from the others. I certainly manage to use a lot of the appetizer plates just cooking Chinese. I thought with the Pyrex bowls I could avoid using my dinner dishes for my prepped foods and for storing left overs.

That works for me. I have lots of bowls that don't match much that I use for that, as well as a couple Pyrex bowls and things. One thing that upset me was, recently, I bought a Pyrex bowl with a plastic lid, and I used the lid when I reheated something in the microwave, and it warped the plastic till it no longer fit tightly over the bowl for storage. I tossed the lid. I think those lids should be OK to use in the microwave, but apparently, they aren't. So beware of that, Lizzie.

Maybe two retirement trips. One to Europe and such, one to New Zealand, Australia and Africa.

Interesting, here is a nice video explaining a few things about chemistry of the brain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YOwEqGykDM

Maybe get a gallon of caffeine and drink it all at once it will go away :D :D

That's was excellent! Thanks! Need to show that to my son ...

Trit, that video was interesting. I never really knew how caffeine worked. I'm one of those people who is not particularly addicted. I drink 3 cups in the morning, and that's all for the day. There was a time when I decided to wean myself off coffee, and I found that tea, which has about half the caffeine, worked just as well. And then I started drinking green tea, which may have even less caffeine. Now I"m back to coffee again. I like the taste better, and recently I've read that a small amount, up to 3 cups a day, is actually good for you. My only problem is that I need milk and sugar in mine to make it palatable. I don't like adding all that extra sugar to my diet. I use about 1/4 tsp per cup, but still, it adds up. I'd rather use real sugar than those chemical substitutes, though. I don't need sugar in tea, though, which is why I switched to tea for a while.

I've got my caffeine down to a level where I'm comfortable and don't feel too guilty. What I feel guilty about is the International Coffees French Vanilla creamer that I use in my first cup of the day. That's a bit of a guilty pleasure, but it does keep my morning meds from tearing up my tummy. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

Oh jeesh - that looks so yummy. And I never get hungry this early in the day.

I've never wanted to see Europe, but New Zealand, Australia, Africa and South America - heck yes. I'd be too nervous to visit the last two though. When I was a computer systems engineer, my job wanted to send me to work on a project in Chili, but my late husband nixed that. Can't say that I blame him.

No Europe rave? OMG!

Oh, I know. My impression of Europe, and I may be waaaay off, is that it is a place to appreciate architecture, historical sites, and varying cultures. Right? Wrong? My interests lie more in the wild, uncivilized places with a wide variety of plants and animals and ... as few people as possible. I have no interest in history or architecture. I'm too introverted to enjoy people face to face (with very few exceptions). I know that's not normal ...

I picked some melons this morning but none of them are very tasty. Melon season is officially over.

The dentist called me to see if I wanted to get my crown on this week instead next week. Heck yeah!

While I was in Fernley, I went to the bank.

Then, I stopped by the vet's office and got Rusty's Previcox and it was actually ready and it hadn't gone up in price:)

Sounds like lunch time.

What about the Alps? Aren't there still lots of wild places there? And the Pyrenees? I bet there are still interesting wild places in some of Europe. Oh, yes, the Camargue in France? They have wild horses there.

Did you ever look into ordering Previcox online? It might be cheaper. You get the vet to contact the company with a prescription, and then order it. I do this for Penny's Prascend (pergolide). This company is where I order Prascend, and it's the best price I found, so maybe their Previcox is a lot chaper, too. But consider what they'll charge for shipping and add that to the price, though making a special trip to the vet might cost the same or more in gas. Anyway, compare these prices: Previcox - Thriving Pets

That's amazing! Usually, vets charge more. You are lucky to have such a source.

Yep, I've looked and there isn't much savings on previcox. I can save one potassium bromide but not sure if I save enough to be bothered with shipping. I wonder on the phenobarbital but can't find a price online.

I need to ask at smiths pharmacy.

Your nearest hydrogen bomb.
Jumping in the middle of the conversation again but i wanted to ask.

Anyone of you seen mushrooms pop up yet? A lot of rain this year and here all of our mountains and forests are full of mushrooms!! If we have mushrooms from September, in November it's going to be mushroom mayhem. I know a place i can get parasol mushrooms and if you wear them as a hat you can protect yourself from the rain. :D

I don't know mushrooms from toadstools, so I wouldn't eat any. I haven't seen a lot of mushrooms here, but I think our climate here is colder than yours. Maybe father south, people have seen them.

Interesting that you can wear them. I want to see a picture! Maybe make a motorcycle helmet from one? :)
