A fly by hello, Voltpeeps !!!!!

I only managed an hour and a half out there before I wilted. Even the sweatband couldn't keep up but I did get my vitamin D for the day anyway. I'll still take this over freezing cold.
Cold is better, you can insulate yourself but you cannot peel your skin off.
Saturday I got myself supersweaty in 90 deg. riding bicycles in the process of choosing one. I went home, showered, and went to an outside party. Everyone complained about the heat, but it didn't bother me. Who can explain that one?
Nope. Just sat and talked. I think the earlier profuse sweat cleaned out the pores to work more effectively later.Maybe you are acclimated to 90 degrees and your were exerting much energy at the party.![]()

FIFY. Gotcha!OMG, I think you had acclimated yourself with the exertion from earlier combined with the cooling effect of the shower. It's kind of like when you go in the ocean or lake the first time and it feels cold. If you get out and then go back in a few minutes later it seems just fine.
Uh! Interesting documentary. Same thing exactly in Europe. Even worse in Asia-Middle east.
Not sure what the difference is, but Garbage Collectors make about $17-18/hr.Wow! I never realized how bad this is. I know, Trit, that you climb towers for this kind of work. Do you have the proper safety equipment? Is it new enough not to fail? Do you always attach your safety harness, even if it takes longer to go up and down? $10 an hour is really low pay for a dangerous job. I think garbage collectors must make more than that.* Maybe if they unionized, might it help? Though unions often don't do enough enforcing and union dues are just one more bill the workers have to pay. It's a scary problem I wasn't aware of till now. Thanks for letting us know about this.
*Well, maybe not. The pay scale for sanitation workers seems comparable or a little below. See Sanitation Worker Salary (United States) But I bet picking up trash at curbside is a lot safer.
