'moanin, Volties.

It was just under 16 this morning and it's up to 40 now so not too bad. There was a prediction for some snow from an Alberta Clipper passing through, but it'll be rain at these temps. The daffy-dills have joined in the confusion about what season it really is, they're about four inches high and ready to freeze.

Your nearest hydrogen bomb.
I was watching a documentary about the parthenon, shows how the columns were stacked up with a piece of wood in the center and they were so airtight that the wood still remains intact even today! Also shows a lot of stuff about the proportions etc.
Had no idea about this precision lol. Put's the Japanese to shame :D

I'll check that out in the AM, too late now.

The weather did what the weather does. The wind picked up and switched from the southwest to the northwest and t started snowing about 20 minutes ago. The ground, grassy areas, is white already. It won't last long, but it does look "bad" with the wind driving it.

Haven't looked at the graphs, yet, but it is kind of cool here, around 20, with a basically constant wind. The "blizzard" from last night is gone other than a little in sheltered areas. Wind and low humidity sure does evaporate snow, especially when it's just a light coating.

3, that's too cold for my tastes!

Good morning, Voltfruzens.

Well, it could be worse here. 27 degrees but it is supposed to be windy today and I have to clean two houses. Hopefully, I will sell my harness today so I can buy a bigger harness for the bigger pony.

I just watched that video on the Parthenon and it is well worth the time to watch! One question I have, that wasn't answered, is how in the heck they lifted multi-ton blocks of marble fifty feet in the air and placed them so precisely. The accuracy question was answered, but it is still amazing.

Good morning, Voltmaniacs.

Looks like it will be cloudy and cold today.

I still hope to at least work with the horses a little bit. Plus, I like to separate them so Pony gets more food and Wiseguy [aka Chunky Monkey] gets less food. So, if possible, one of them will be going in the round pen.

We have way too much wind for fog, even if it was humid enough. I just walked Bo and it is a little brisk out there today. Unfortunately the crocuses didn't get the message that it's winter time and have started to sprout.
I have so many flowers sprouting. I hope it does not hurt them sprouting this early. Some are a few inches up.

That is one of the big draw backs to a warm winter. More than likely there will still be some days of below freezing and some plants are going to be very unhappy.

Thanks, Celti. I know your dream puppy is out there. I just hope you don't have to drive 8 hours to pick him up.

Good morning, Voltmaniacs.

I talked to the vet's office who said that the puppy shots the breeder gives don't count and they want to start all over after waiting 4 weeks after the puppy shots were given. We gave Penny and Rusty all their shots ourselves so we will probably just do that. The new goober can be neutered at 8 months or when he starts lifting a leg to pee. Whichever happens first.

Rusty needs to go in to get his bloodwork and a vet check to stay on his Previcox. I told her next month since Hubby is getting his teeth worked on this month.

Looks cold and wet, close to snowing. Hubby says it was snowing towards Dayton and Mound House. 33 degrees out and was windy overnight.

The water cooperative meeting was productive.

'moanin, Volties.

Even the rose bushes had started putting out leaves. Now they're brownish and frozen. I think the spring flowers won't be quite as "lush" this coming spring.

Lizzie, I'm surprised you can give your dogs their own shots. Here we need a vet to certify they've had their shots to get the mandatory dog license. Getting that license assumes the clerk is actually at work, and not on vacation. I've been there three times in the last two weeks trying to re-new Bo's license and the clerks office has been locked up and dark.

The rabies shot has to be given by the vet but the parvo/distemper/? I forget the other one can be bought at the feed store. $6 per shot vs. $35 for the first shot and probably $25 for the other 2 shots. Puppies get three shots.

I can have the new puppy get the adult 3-way and rabies when I get him neutered at 8 months.
