If vaping for nicotine gets banned, I'll probably switch over and vape the other stuff. Seems like more and more states are legalizing it. The gear used doesn't seem any different than what we vapers use, and the FDA doesn't seem interested in regulating it.
I lost my appreciation for the other stuff when I was sixteen, unfortunately.

I didn't smoke anything in my teen years. Began smoking both when in college. I was a product of the late 60's and early 70's. I was never a heavy user of the other stuff, just "a bit" like other folks might drink a glass or two of wine to relax at night. Forced to abstain when employment threatened unanounced blood tests to ensure you weren't a user. Now that I'm retired, I'm curious to partake again, as I'm not a fan of alcohol.

Yeah, alcohol is truly god-awful nasty repulsive stuff to me these days.. Can't believe how I drank so many tanker-truck fulls of the crap as I was struggling to be understood with my illness (and failing, of course).

Sure... Picking fights, puking, acting like a total a**, and beating your wife - are just SOOOOO much more dignified! Alcohol's a true winner. ;)

I only saw cigarette ones there, unless they're conflating the issues yet again. (Edit: ok, saw the middle picture - utterly goofy. However the left one was chewing tobacco, which is true for that - and the right was for cigarettes.)

Anyway, growing up, EVERYbody knew how stupid the anti-drug commercials were. Now that my generation is coming into power, look what's happening with that. So kids and people will eventually see through such idiotic lies (ironically, the kids will see right through them first).

There will be ads for both and yes it's on purpose so they can conflate the two habits as being equally dangerous. They always have so no reason to think the ads wont continue the dishonesty.

Our side needs vaping ads, so that they understand the benefits. That approach has been used by the thing that is not to be named to get the public to understand how it has helped people medically.
Requires dough. Doesn't seem to be enuf of that on our side. Beyond that I agree.

I do not think that shops get "shut down" for the first violation. My impression is the first violation results in a warning letter, and the second in a relatively small fine. Are you aware of any stores that have been shut down due to selling tobacco products to minors?

Here's the popcorn lung "Real Cost" video:

Ironic that the ad is put out by FDA, which will not approve any e-juice containing diacetyl.
They must think kids are really ignorant these days.
A simple google search turns up:
    "Do Juul pods contain diacetyl?
(Juul does not use diacetyl in its liquid, and, in tests, the company has found no measurable amounts of diacetyl in the vapor emitted by its devices.) ... Juul's e-cigarette liquid contains only five: glycerol, propylene glycol, nicotine, benzoic acid, and food-grade flavoring."

"All this was inspired by the principle—which is quite true within itself—that in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods.

It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying."

Not to mention that most e liquids and flavorings don't contain diacetyl anymore.

This is my favorite so far:
