DO NOT DISCCUSS THE ROOMBA. My son is obsessed with vacuums for some reason (do not ask me) and we had to have EVERY model of Roomba starting with like, a prototype I think.

It is EXTREMELY unpleasant to like, be cooking or whatever, and some round thing comes and like, hits you in the ankle repeatedly. Also don't get me started on emptying and repairs. They ALL sucked. Maybe they are great NOW but I will take my 15 year old (ONE BELT REPLACEMNT EVER) Orick XL ANY day of the week. I was a hotel maid one summer. I know what's good and what isn't.

The rhoomba reminds me of the Tesla. In the sense that everyone goes "that sounds cool" and they get one and it sucks. They're like smok mods. "OOH that's so cool I gotta get one!'

IF smok survives deeming I may.... IDK what I will do.

The kid has a collection "that means more than 8" of old Kirbys that he refurbishes and sells and keeps. I do not understand. I also do not understand his ALMOST cleaning OCD compared to the state he left his bathroom in as a kid. OMG. I asked him how come he could like, NOT have cleaning OCD then, and he was like, "IDK, I was busy being a kid?"

He also did not like our dishwasher. He was constantly rewashing my stuff, before using it. It was ALMOST insulting. Oh forget the ALMOST. It was insulting. LOL.

The First Vape PMTA Has Been Submitted to the FDA - Vaping360

"The first premarket tobacco application (PMTA) for an e-liquid-based vaping product has finally been submitted to the FDA. As expected, the application comes from a tobacco company, Reynolds American Inc. (RAI, best known as RJ Reynolds)."

"“The sad fact is that the only way a manufacturer of a reduced-harm nicotine delivery product can navigate the complex American tobacco regulatory system is to have a successful business selling cigarettes,” said American Vaping Association President Gregory Conley. “The vape shops across the country that FDA and HHS are seeking to put out of business don’t have the luxury of selling billions of dollars of cigarettes every year.”

"Since the Deeming Rule became law, no manufacturer has tried for FDA approval with an e-liquid-based vaping product."

"The fact that the tobacco company submitted flavored cartridges for approval is especially interesting, and raises questions for independent manufacturers interested in applying:

  • Will the FDA approve flavors in a relatively weak cigalike product like the Solo, but deny them in a more powerful, high-nicotine pod vape, or in bottled e-liquid?
  • Is the essentially tamper-proof design of the Solo cartridges a prerequisite for flavored product approval?
  • Can small manufacturers afford to produce research sufficient to give the FDA cover for approving open-system products like bottled e-liquid?
  • How will the Trump administration’s announced flavor ban affect PMTA approval?"

Yes @fishman I mean @mikepetro I probably do. My kid had fish also. Not NOW. Not now he's a grownup and would have to pay for and maintain the tank. Do you know how many times I went to petsmart? Do you know how many FISH FUNERALS I went to? At one point, I asked the husband if we could keep a secret "exactly the same as the kid's" fishtank in case of the dreaded FISH ROT OMG I dreaded that FAR more than like, the kid I think. I mourned considerably less, but my dread factor was HIGHER.

Oh also I need Halloween pics Douglas DOES Halloween on SOME streets, mine included, and I will be driving to Tucson and back to see my doctor.

While that news is unsurprising, it is also NOT GREAT but probably HIGHLY predictable,.

I wonder if things get deemed they escape tax. You can loophole ANYTHING.

MADFACE.

Unsubstantiated and from an Unknown Source. So take it as you may.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/busi...5a1592-f705-11e9-b2d2-1f37c9d82dbb_story.html

Those articles that can't resist bringing up the lung injury stuff so piss me off I had to leave a comment. Granted, the odds of them posting it are nil, but I feel better.

They are beginning to allow the public to get those tankless toilets into their homes. You just have to be sure to have enough pressure behind in order for them to flush quickly. Lots of plumbers won't install them in homes cause no one want to pay to have pressure valves and some new piping put in....don't ask me how I know. I hope they become more popular because they are way less to clean and have to mess with.

:)

We have those in many residential apartments in NY. Best part they rarely need a plunger. Unfortunately when older apartments get renovated and "upgraded" those are the first to go and greatly mourned. Still the most common in commercial buildings.

No self cleaning, but after that video of @dreamvaper it seems like a feature I can survive without.

Interesting, but I think the undermining critical thinking part is a little dramatic. There are plenty of other more significant issues in school curriculum's these days that affect critical thinking than vaping.

BTW, for anyone interested, here's the latest CDC MMWR report (mortality morbidity weekly report, an important source of info from them). Apologies if already posted, but I didn't see it here.

Yep, strange that there's no mention of what they were supposedly contaminated with.

Yeah... If I didn't Know Better, it would Almost seem like another way to push Hype onto e-Cigarettes in the Media.

But the Media would Never do that.

Yeah, they dont mention the contaminant, the lawsuit says very little about the exact nature of the issue.

But the whole thing mostly reads like a "Wrongful Termination" lawsuit.

“Half our customers are drunk and vaping like mo-fos, who the .... is going to notice the quality of our pods,” the former CEO allegedly said.

Anyway, I would also really like to know what the source of this alleged contamination was. Old or expired pods wouldn't make people sick, IMO.
