OK...

I'm just Confused what the Discussion is supposed to be?
Well, that link in of itself takes some data mining. So I started off with the mining, to lay the groundwork for the next part...

Which basically starts with post 25699 and is (hopefully) going to continue to observations like:

Where's the vaping associations? If Advocacy agencies like some of those listed are included, where's the vaper's association. I see BT. I see the TFK and such. But I don't see groups that would refute the B.S. that we keep hearing. I see AGENDA. I don't see science. I see scare tactics. I see BT.

And I suspect Trump's meetings are lip service if it's gone this far. But MAYBE not. MAYBE he'll override things and redirect.

With whatever it is.

The scheduled meetings with the Pro-vape people were All Cancelled because the OMB said they had concluded their review.

That was kinda the Big News last week or so.

This is where People sometimes Don't understand the Process.

If FDA/HSS wants to make a New Rule. Or Change an Existing Rule, there is a Regulatory Process that has to be Followed. And, Ironically, part of that is from Executive Order (EO) 12866.

So if the President wants to Modify or Change something in the Rule that the OMB Reviewed, the Rule would need to be Reviewed again by the OMB.

So at this point, as I Understand it, the President can either Green Light the Reviewed Rule. And the Rule as Reviewed would go forward. Or He could Red Light it and Nothing would happen.

I Don't think there is any way for the to Change Anything without Re-Doing the Process.

Now it would be Nice If I could Read RIN: 0910-ZA56. But when I Click on it, this is what you get.

View Rule

So I guess we All we have to (again) wait and see what happens.

Yep, and now we know (via your link) who they were meeting with when they "completed their review" (without us).

I have Posted that OMB Dashboard Link in a few places around the ECF over the last 2 Weeks or so.

Maybe people Didn't understand what it was? Or maybe it has gotten Lost in All the Off Topic Clutter?

FYI. Looks like a single law firm representing big tobacco and ANTZ were the only ones who had an audience. Are we ready to VOTE yet?

I will say this, if there is ever a meeting with a coalition of pro-vape ANYTHING with Trump, I really and truly can't imagine the deeming rule would not come UP.

However, I'm not always correct when it comes to political predictions. I do think if there is ever a genuine meeting with say, a coalition of vape stores, for example, well, I'd imagine they would want to discuss that.

It seems to me that most of politics that can be done these days can be UN-done, but perhaps I get that impression from President Obama and his seemingly endless executive orders.

Etc. Although to be fair, I just looked up the data, and Obama was rather restrained, actually, compared to Franklin D. Roosevelt who issued over 3, 700. Rather skewing the totals in the Democrat's favor.

If I have any sliver of hope, this is it. I honestly do not believe Trump has any idea what vaping is but I do believe if he did he would reconsider the Deeming regs. It's just too common sense that fits his line of thinking. But my fear is far greater that he will not be properly educated on the topic to ever get to that point. Hope he proves me wrong. He has in the past with some of his decisions where I thought he was clueless.

Nope we don't but we do get to vote in Elections.:)

Trump announced this morning that he will meet with Members of the Vaping Community among others, nobody seems to know who those people are. Lets hope it's the right people!

Whatever happens I imagine it's going to be a while yet before anything happens. Even if something is passed there be Lawsuits etc. so don't get your hopes up or your panties all wadded up just yet.
