This just proves my point about credibility. At this point and in my opinion you have none. I'm sure I'm not the only one that is sick of the fear mongering and rumors.
There is no harm in keeping the pressure on the White House, as well as the rest of the despicable creatures in Mordor on the Potomac.
I hate giving the dreaded “x”, but I do disagree. Fear mongering is like all the media claiming coffee causes cancer because some grade school kid did a science project proving it, and won the Science Fair. This is about sharing the information available at the moment. We count on CASAA, VTA etc to keep us informed because they have more ears to the ground and access to information we don’t. We can’t blame them for sharing information or shame them if it doesn’t come to fruition. It may or may not have been true at the time, but none of us can know which. Politicians change their minds with a wisp of the wind. Either you want to keep abreast of the moment to moment situation, or you’d rather wait until something is set in law. Pick the one that works for you, ignore what you don’t want to know, and remember that other people may pick a different option for their peace of mind. Neither is wrong, if you pick the one that suits your needs. But, for goodness sake, don’t shoot the messenger, @kristin in this case, for doing her JOB, just because it irritates you.
I don't disagree with that. I disagree with calls to action and fear mongering based on rumors and BS. I stated IN MY OPINION CASAA has no credibility because this isn't the first time. It happens constantly.
Fear mongering based on rumor and BS is wrong. It happens constantly and like I said IN MY OPINION they have ruined theirs. Spreading rumors just makes it worse. Might or might not is RUMOR. Apologizing for bad policy only makes it worse.
My opinion - I would rather hear this stuff regardless. If something real is going on the likelihood is that the first hints will come in the form of tips from sources that choose not to be identified. I would rather take the chance of hearing something that's not real than wait for an official announcement. It happens all the time, not just around vaping. We are all used to dealing with information that isn't fully verified and giving it appropriate weight.
Yes your organization's fear mongering on rumor and BS does happen constantly and that is a very true statement.
They never said it was definitely happening, but that rumblings on capital hill indicated it might. If it HAD happened, would you blame them for NOT telling you it was being discussed by lawmakers? Read what you want to know, and ignore the rest. People that want that info can read it.
So at least you can admit it's fear mongering based on rumor and BS. Thank you. I don't blame them for anything other than I already have.
All this vaping stuff to this point is garbage. People have been warned what is going on and should do what they can to not be victims.

No, I didn’t say that. I should have been clearer, obviously. Fear mongering is about stirring up the public for personal gain (political, corporate, individual). I’m not going to castigate CASAA/VTA etc for sharing what they have either heard or know for fact. If it wasn’t for listening to the “rumors, innuendos, fear mongering” (whatever title YOU wish to give it) many here would not be stocked up. By the time something is law, it’s too late.
You and I are just going to have to agree to disagree. No one here wants to be subjected to our debate
By your definition of fear mongering that's just what CASAA did. If you're ok with it that your opinion and your choice. My opinion of them is worse than bad. They are not doing anyone any favors. Facts are facts. Rumor and BS are not.

No I don't. They are not the only ones doing this crap. And they are not doing this for free. It's not the occasional slip. It's constant. That's the biggest reason I don't bother with most of these organizations. Again

Don't get me wrong. The people that are doing the work deserve to be paid but don't lead people to believe it's being done for free. If CASAA is doing this for free then they don't need donations right? I'm not saying don't give money to them and I'm not saying they're not doing some good.
No, because there’s no personal or corporate gain for them, monetary or otherwise. They’re people in the same shoes as us....Trying to stay one step ahead of the antz and the politicians. You may be brilliant at predicting what Washington will do and when, but I need a little info to decide what *I* think I need to do for *me*. If you don’t, skip over those posts. Easy peasy, problem solved.
There is monetary gain in it for them. What do you think they are asking for when they or others ask for donations? Ejuice. At least be real about that.
