Thanx @Kent C for the info...these must have, somehow, bypassed me...

Is the nautilus XS an improvement on the nautilus X???

I keep being reassured by my "Money Saved" Banner...(which is based on 2013 [not today's] prices)...so I do not mind replacing ALL my "primitive" gear when I come across something I think is truly "advanced"...

Thus...as I mentioned...I replaced ALL my Bottom-Filling tanks after I ran across my first Top-Filling Zenith...

Similarly...I replaced ALL my Aegis Solo and Pico Mods...after trying my first Sinuous P80...

It's smaller and lighter than most (all?) 18650 Mods...has (almost) unbelievable hand comfort...and with its lateral Firing Panel you don't have to look at it before picking it up...and just squeezing...

I agree it's an awesome mod, except for one thing. It keeps telling me it can't read the atomizer. If you don't have that issue with your P80s or have a good fix for it, I'll buy more of them.

The center pin might not be making contact. Try an ego adapter or a 510 heatsink if you have one of those laying around.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/heal...pod-ban-starts-thursday-what-it-means-vapers/

Open-tank systems and thousands of flavored e-liquids not in pod form — products commonly found in vape shops and in some convenience stores — are not covered by the ban. Also exempted are disposable e-cigarettes, including a brand called Puff Bars that comes in flavors such as strawberry, cool mint and mango and is becoming increasingly popular among young people, according to public health groups.

Because of those exemptions, “I think it’s a joke to call it a vaping ban at all,” said Erika Sward, a spokeswoman for the American Lung Association.

Health advocates say teens who can no longer buy banned pods will simply switch to products still on the market. “I expect to see the shelves filled with many products that have been exempted,” said Matthew Myers, president of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.

"Also exempted are disposable e-cigarettes...."

That exemption caught me by surprise when I first read about it. What were they thinking? Not that I am in favor of any "ban". But if you are going to try to "meet in the middle" that is just plain dumb. Of course the kids are going to switch to them because they will be so accessible and easy to use. IMO could turn out to be the downfall of the main purpose to keep products for adults available.

When I first read about the PMTA's and stuff I thought that the only thing that would make it through would be tobacco flavored all in one disposables (i.e.: expensive junk). I thought that was the way things were headed. But then this teen "crisis" happened and pods got banned, I found it odd that disposables were not, but then I remembered the way I thought beforehand about the FDA probably leaning towards disposables and then it made sense. If I was right in my thinking, they may be hanging on to their thoughts on the direction things should go.

The Problem is there was/is no "Win" Position to take.

Do Nothing while in the Eye of the Media Hyped "Vaping Illness" Storm Isn't a Win.

A Full Blow Ban on Flavors months before the FDA Drop Dead Date and now you Own It. All of it. So that isn't a Win.

Florida has issues too.... SB 810 (online sales ban) and SB 1394 (85% wholesale tax). I sent an email to everyone in the senate. There was a committee meeting on the 3rd, but I can't find any info on what happened.

BigPappa, try this link: Senate Bill 810 (2020) - The Florida Senate
8 yeas and 1 nay in committee and it is now under references review.

I read most of the bill. It does raise the age to 21, which brings it in line with federal law, and allows online sales so long as a adult signature obtained. Here’s a chunk of that text

“210.095 Mail order, Internet, and remote sales of tobacco products; age verification.—
(5) Each person who mails, ships, or otherwise delivers
tobacco products in connection with an order for a delivery sale
must:
(a) Include as part of the shipping documents, in a clear and conspicuous manner, the following statement: “Tobacco Products: Florida law prohibits shipping to individuals under 21 18 years of age and requires the payment of all applicable taxes.”
(b) Use a method of mailing, shipping, or delivery which
obligates the delivery service to require:
1. The individual submitting the order for the delivery sale or another adult who resides at the individual’s address to sign his or her name to accept delivery of the shipping container. Proof of the legal minimum purchase age of the individual accepting delivery is.......”

Still, it sucks, but that’s already to the best of my recollection the same as the current law in TX.

A lot of these states seem to be sending a small swarm of bills with the least objectionable ones first and then the stronger (read close to or equivalent to a ban) showing up shortly thereafter. The number of CTA's and the list of states on our Paradigm Vape News page is getting long very quickly! The more states that do this successfully, the more that will follow! We need to start beating these or we won't have an industry...we'll all end up being vape gangsters, just like 100 years ago during alcohol prohibition!

JustW...I think BigP is astute...the problem probably lies with your Tank(s)...

I currently have 5 Sinuous P80s in my "Rotation"...I've NOT (yet?) ever had that hassle...

(However...as mentioned...currently I'm only vaping with Zeniths.)...

I ended up having A LOT of unused Aspire Nautilus BVC coils...

This Nautilus-GT might allow me to actually use (up) all those coils...

Thanx AGAIN @Kent C for the info...

However...after checking your link...the Nautilus X and XS appear to use a different coil than the Nautilus BVC coils...(which I have about 10,000 of)...

:offtopic:I realize that this is a Thread to discuss anxiety/pessimism about vaping's future...so I'll go away after posting this...

You're getting tanks and links mixed up I think. The tank that takes the the older nautilus BVC coils is the Aspire Nautilus GT, which is a co-brand with the makers of the Taifun RTA. Looks like a new generation Taifun, but it's just another clearomizer that takes Nautilus BVC coils
