Do a lot of the newer mods take 21700 batts? No No wait don't tell me The last mod I bought or even looked at was in 2016 and I don't need new ones!

Yes and no. 21700 seems to be a niche market. There are still a lot of 18650-only mods being put out. Not everyone wants a 21700 mod as they do usually tend to be a little larger. Some people who want their mods to be as small as possible and don't need a larger battery will still want 18650-only mods. I only mention if a charger takes 21700 or not because 21700 is popular enough among vapers to justify mentioning it. IMHO, if a person is in the market for a new charger, there's no reason to get a charger that won't fit a 21700 battery. Never know, you may just buy a 21700 mod someday. The cost difference between a charger that takes 21700 and one that doesn't is negligible if there is any cost difference at all.

I am with @Letitia at 0.5 because anything less is not finished by my bedtime. It's a tradeoff, low and slow or a bit faster so the batteries are off the charger while I am awake.

I charge mine at night...but I wear a mask to bed, so I should be good according to Fauci:rolleyes:

I just purchase a Dovpo Odin Mini so I had a 21700 mod in case 18650 batteries get harder to come by at some point (after I said I'm done stocking up). I am wondering if it's going to look silly with a tiny 22mm Kayfun Lite on top. Still, for a 21700 mod, it's not too large and the ergonomics look good.

Also, great that you can feed it 3 different sized batteries.

I want y'all to read a post from an excited, newbie vaper/heavy smoker...

Aegis X With Cerberus Tank

"...last year I was going to start vaping and I didn't because all you kept hearing was they gonna ban the e liquid every where you went, That's all I ever heard so I skipped even trying it last year."

How many smokers/would-be vapers had that same thought?

I tended to think most average citizens were very unaware/uninformed. Honestly vape shops were not even informative to their customers. Of course I can only speak to locally and what my small group of vaping friends had knowledge or lack there of. I tend to try and stay informed because it's important to me.

I was very surprised to learn from watching Greg Conley on Regulator Watch (very informative)

https://regulatorwatch.com/brent_stafford/pride-prejudice-u-s-vape-industry-in-2021-regwatch/

that there was a big drop in vaping and return to smoking following the EVALI and I am sure would be vapers who just kept smoking.
That misinformation is still plastered all over the www
2020 saw a drop in vaping and a rise in smoking rates and after March who knows what 2021 will show. I feel very blessed I discovered vaping when I did given the climate today... I probably would have kept smoking. It's heartbreaking to me, so senseless.

Great little mod, like my 100 better than the dna honestly.

I haven't been in a vape shop in a long time. But the 2 in my area, they were all just concerned with cloud chasing and would provide horrible advice for actual smokers looking into vaping. I can only imagine they were clueless or careless about the coming regulations.

If you want an affordable charger that takes 21700 batts, the Opus BT-C3100 is on sale at 18650batterystore for $28. It has a lot of features and can be set as low as 0.2A. It does 0.2A, 0.3A, 0.5A, 0.7A, 1A, 1.5A & 2A, However 1, 1.5 and 2A depends on how many batteries you're charging. Each bay's current charging rate can be set independently, unlike the LUC V4 (and I assume the LUC V4 HD)

If you are interested, I suggest you read this post I made to @hittman as there are somethings you may want to know about it which may or may not matter to you.

Lots of people like the Opus BT-C3100 but it has it's drawbacks for some people depending on what they want in a charger.

I think I am going to have to get a new battery charger soon. I have an efest luc v4 I have been using for years, and I love it. It has been glitching a little bit. My cord failed about 3 months ago and I got a replacement cord for it. Sometimes when I put 4 batteries in it to charge the screen will shut off and it goes from 1.0A to 0.5. So I think it’s time to start to hunt down a new one! That is a good deal!

Do you vape TC? I was thinking of the 100. Same great form factor, just much cheaper. But I never tried the Dovpo chipset for TC. Not too late to cancel my order, LOL.
TC just isn't my cup of tea, I find I get bored with the same hit repeatedly. I've read the 100 does decent tc and of course the dna does excellent tc.

Just keep in mind that the Opus is a bit more complicated to use than most other chargers in the $25 or less rage because it has more features. If you'd rather have simplicity, probably best to stick with the LUC V4, since you already have and like the LUC V4, or LUC V4 HD if you want the ability to charge 21700.

That’s true! I do love my efest luc charger! Sometime down the road I am going to have to get a new charger! I will probably stick to a simple one :)
