FDA Denies PMTAs for 300,000 More Flavored E-Liquids

"If the FDA eliminates all bottled e-liquid in non-tobacco flavors—as it appears the agency intends to do—a large part of the e-liquid industry is likely to convert to using synthetic nicotine or simply selling illegally. The open-system market, including vape shops and online sales, will become a true “wild west” almost overnight because of the FDA’s poorly calculated decisions."

And what if they deny PMTA for all liquids flavored or not? They could say flavors are easily available and in order to prevent kids from mixing them all liquid nicotine products will be banned. And then could they try to turn nicotine into a controlled substance like hard drugs? - What's to stop them? Bloomberg et al will give them all the money they need for the prohibitionist agenda. Once they do that synthetic nicotine would make no difference - And will they go so far as India and declare possession of all vape liquids and hardware illegal???

So the appeal of vaping will die off and people will want to smoke more than ever as vaping would make them live longer - Many might not feel like living in the evil world they are creating.
Now you know why we began to call the FDA "The Food and Death Administration" when they tried to do this to our vitamins and supplements back in th '90s by declaring them all prescription drug item - to protect the public from those dangerous vitamins and supplements.
But maybe half the population was already using supplements and vitamins so our nationwide petition drive
{almost every health food store had a petition to sign} got results and we got congress to pass laws stopping the Food and Death Administration - Vitamins and supplements have been protected by law ever since.
Problem with vaping and all tobacco for that matter, is we don't have the numbers - Unless we could tie vaping in with some other agenda - But right now the money from Bloomberg, Big Pharma, etc. is buying congress and the FDA. Only chance we have is to prove some of the anti-vape congress people are bought and paid for.
Prove someone like Dick Dirtbin is receiving money from Bloomberg and maybe, just maybe we could stop them ???

Posted this on another thread the other day but since we are back to talking about deeming it seems very relevant here...

I was surprised to see the first rejections to be smallish companies, or, maybe not... targeting flavored products for annihilation announcement first to appease the ANTZ while sitting on those with a big market share (Vuse, Juul, Blu etc.) to announce their approval before the deadline. I fully believe we will see announcements of approved PMTAs before the 9th just not any for flavored eliquids or maybe none for eliquids at all trying to strangle open systems out of existence.

Morgan Stanley thinks September 9th could be a big day for the tobacco sector due to an anticipated FDA decision.
Analyst Pamela Kaufman expects favorable decisions for many of the big names like Altria (MO +0.1%), British American Tobacco (BTI +0.6%), Swedish Match (OTCPK:SWMAF -2.2%) and Imperial Brands (OTCQX:IMBBY +0.8%) for their various brands. Some of those companies could see a significant competitive advantage if their product is approved, while a rival product is rejected. While there is a chance that the FDA extends the timeline on the decision, Kaufman thinks big determinations are more likely.

Tobacco stocks could soar on September 9th due FDA decision on PMTA | Seeking Alpha

The stock market is usually a reliable predictor...

And then could they try to turn nicotine into a controlled substance like hard drugs? - What's to stop them?

This is my understanding from following this fiasco from the first FDA proposed ruling to regulate vape:

Alcohol and Tobacco products are excluded from the Controlled Substances Act. Congress would have to change the law for this to happen. The Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act gives the FDA regulatory control of tobacco products. A tobacco product is any product made or derived from tobacco that is intended for human consumption. For a tobacco product to be a drug it must either be intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions, or in the cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease; or if the product is intended to affect the structure or any function of the body in any way that is different from effects related to nicotine that were commonly and legally claimed in the marketing of cigarettes and smokeless tobacco products prior to March 21, 2000.

Long and short is that the FDA can make it illegal to sell a tobacco product that wasn't sold before 2007 but can't schedule it as a controlled substance which would give the DEA authority also.

Synthetic nicotine is a different story since it is not made or derived from tobacco and could be a controlled substance if the DEA or FDA scheduled it on the list.

Isn't the 9th supposed to be the day everything supposedly takes a freakin' crap in the vaping world. Hmmm, thinking so.

Probably be just another day in the Life of Vaper's everywhere.

Now that you mention it READY FOR THE WORSE CASE SCENARIO ???

AS of now, and as far as I know, nothing has been approved {under the PMTA}!!!
And in fact thousand's and thousands of flavor's have been denied !!!

Ready for this?

What if tomorrow the FDA denies almost all vape products on the same grounds that it has now denied the flavors - Saying thet the kids are not being protected?

Then starting tomorrow what if they coerce the Post Office to enforce the postal ban?

GAME OVER !!! OR: Welcome to Underworld Vapes the still available and totally unregulated vaping system that sends out vapes from an undisclosed location in a plain manila envelope.

Another triumph for Bloomberg Philanthropies who now controls the FDA {Food and Drug Administtation},
aka: the Food and Death Administration.

I've been preparing for the vapepocalypse since 2015.

I'm set. Don't need anything else.

I do feel bad for the folks who are just starting out with vaping or recently switched and have zero clue about what is going on.

Smac, sometimes it's better that way. ;)

And for those who are just joining... The simplified version kinda goes like so...

The kid represents USA vaper's and their interests. Elephant represents guv and their staunch anti vape stance. Same guv who completely ignores what other more advanced countries have been doing with promoting vaping.

USA vaper's lost, a while back. It was pretty much a No Contest. Did I miss anything? <sigh>

The knowledge this was going to happen has been out there for years and why so many have been prepping. You have been around long enough to know, no cloak and dagger or surprises here. We were warned, the only questions were when and what.
Bloomberg is old news and a fraction of the total.
