I think my heart just fell out onto the floor. What a list of backers!Right. I' so disheartened...
Wrong. The FDA started seizing e-cig shipments in 2009--they were not illegal then by any definition I'm aware of.
Right. I' so disheartened...
God help us.And here's the first attempt to remove it from the Appropriations bill--just posted by our friend @crxess in another thread. I give up.

"We are writing to express our strong opposition to two provisions in the House Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies appropriations bill for Fiscal Year 2017 that would significantly weaken the Food and Drug Administration’s authority over several tobacco products including e-cigarettes and cigars."
Amen to that.God help us.
@Katya i couldn't bring myself to like your post #3054. The content is
too depressing.
However thanks for posting it.

Inside the beltway these are generally known as the usual list of suspects.I think my heart just fell out onto the floor. What a list of backers!
Kent, I agree. Unfortunately, the signatories to this are a lot of respected (not by me) organizations with heavy lobbyist arms. That's to be expected. All those organizations benefit from cigarettes. What is likely next, is a 'letter' from the "usual suspects" to the Senate Appropriations Committee to not include the amendment.
We need as many organizations and individuals writing to the Senate Appropriations Committee with our view. And some that address directly those views of those miserable organizations, perhaps with a note as to how they benefit from people continuing to smoke cigarettes.
Right. I' so disheartened...
Stop! Every amendment has a list of objectors added to it. The organizations you see on there exist because of cigarettes. So naturally they will be against vaping.I think my heart just fell out onto the floor. What a list of backers!
In other words, THEIR sheeple.Inside the beltway these are generally known as the usual list of suspects.
It's understood what these organizations stand for and why they stand
that way. The 64 dollar question is can they get their way this time.

Good point.Stop! Every amendment has a list of objectors added to it. The organizations you see on there exist because of cigarettes. So naturally they will be against vaping.
I almost can't wait until the CDC youth smoking report comes out after these idiots have destroyed the vaping industry, showing that cigarette use among youth is up 30%+ to pre-2013 levels.I understand. It's so depressing. And the worst part of it is that they don't even know what thethey are signing. It's all knee-jerk, party-line, save-the-children crap.
Some bureaucrat called another bureaucrat and asked if they could add their signature to a letter that will protect America's youth.

Some of the "usual suspects" sit on the committee - Durbin, Feinstein, Reed, Merkley.
