I believe the vid last night and CASAA made it clear that we need to support both at this time because we never know which way something will go. CASAA has stated they will have a call to action on the Bishop/Cole amendment very soon.
If you see your friend again remind him in the nicest way you can he now knows how usHe said, now you vapers know how we online poker players feel when we were demonized as being gangsters, thugs, criminals and trying to hurt children.
Thank you for all the members listing the name of the politicians that are against the vaping industry. I will never vote for another Democrat again, for it is them that are against the industry while politicians like Tom Cole and many of his fellow Republicans are against big government and their regulations. I know the first few pages of this thread, we had mods that said we shouldn't make this a Democrat-Republican issue, but let's be honest, as some member here said many pages ago, it's the politicians with this symbol (d) next to their name that's against us, the vaping industry, and would like to make us into criminals, say that what we are doing is trying to hurt children.
Sure, I see no reason to keep the hope alive on it; I did not intend to imply that it was worthless to consider.
My thought is that it may be more productive to focus energy and advocacy on an amendment that is actually moving through Congress and is attached to an appropriations bill versus a one-issue bill stuck in a committee for a year... not to mention the amendment has at least one Democrat supporting it, something HR 2058 does not have.
Not that I can do anything about either one.... both my Senators (Boxer and Feinstein) have already come out officially against both of them. Living in a socialist nanny state is really starting to suck.
From your article...."Seven Senate Democrats who signed a letter applauding the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) crackdown on e-cigarettes took hundreds of thousands of dollars from the pharmaceutical industry."Feinstein's on the take, Boxer probably is too.
Anti-E-Cig Dems Took Hundreds Of Thousands From Big Pharma
the Bishop/Cole amendment is a bipartisan amendment, sponsored by Rep. Tom Cole (R - OK)
and Rep. Sanford Bishop (D - GA)

Slightly off topic, a few days ago a good friend contacted me. This friend of mine that became a well off man by playing online poker for almost a decade, until Obama's government shut down most online poker sites in 2011, citing that they were trying to protect children from gambling. He said, now you vapers know how we online poker players feel when we were demonized as being gangsters, thugs, criminals and trying to hurt children. Even though most online poker players paid their taxes, were honest citizens, and engage in something that mainly consenting adults do, they were vilified by this government and the media as scumbags trying to hurt children. Just like how the vaping community is now experiencing.
If in doubt, pick the latter.it really just depends on whether that agenda favors the people, or if there are money interests pulling the strings.
If in doubt, pick the latter.
Yeah, kinda like that. The latter? Like Feinstein and Blumenthal taking money and marching orders from pharma to throw us under the bus?
Democrats are definitely mostly against vaping, or at least they vote that way. There are probably exceptions, Bishop... that's all I can really think of.The first 100 pages of this thread had quite a few members listing the politicians and their party affiliations as who were against the vaping industry and who were against the regulations. Bishop is the exception to the rule. Most of his party comrades are like Boxer and Feinstein in that they favor big government and big regulations.
Yeah, kinda like that.![]()
Fixed that for you. They have to move the dateWe have to MAKE them move the date... it makes no sense to put companies like ProVape out of business ... who have helped thousands quit smoking.

It goes beyond the affordability factor. The FDA wont approve the PMTA's no matter the cost. No one is gonna sink $300K into a fruitless hope.If Provape can't afford to file the ptma or whatever the heck they are called, I don't see how there are many who can. Sorry, all these acronyms and regulations are frying my brain.
