When I mentioned BT essentially wrote the Deeming regs I was accused of posting nonsense.
Not by me
I live in the EU, we've seen pretty much the same pattern here with the TPD2 already.
TPD2 clearly favours the 'closed system' BT has in their portfolio.
And Brussels is a lobbycracy churning out paper and regs and rules at a pace that makes the FDA look like a sloth in comparison. And lost in translation - EU is 26 member states. So a wee bit over half what the USA is comprised of. But mostly they all speak their own language. Modern day tower of Babel. Has it's own department fighting inside corruption. Which soon may need an additional department to look into the corruption of the department looking into corruption. Makes lobbying a bit more expensive but easier.
And EU vaper's been fighting that thing tooth 'n nails too. EU vapers got shafted already, we've learned the hard way where it's at. All boiled down to who gets the license to **** us over.
BP wanted e-cigs under their tutelage. Got contested. Cuz pharmaceuticals are supposed to have a therapeutic effect. Courts ruled that it can't be pharma, cuz it cures nothing. So no reg as pharmaceuticals.
Vapers rechoiced. Found out later, that EU honchos knew exactly that this motion to make it a BP product would fail. A smokescreen. To slip e-cigs into the TPD ( tobacco Products Directive ) . Though - as we all know - there isn't any tobacco in them.
So , esteemed vaping brethren and sithren from across the pond :
Welcome to the club of the we've been had's...
