Some truth to that.

But that all needs funding.

Which is disgustingly lacking from the community.

CASAA has never asked me for a dime. Ask and ye shall receive. But I sent them something anyway.

Yes.

Though (just pointing out, not arguing) they're set up like a campus level advocacy group.

5 volunteers can barely do so much. And with nobody savvy on that front or to foot the bill for a large (or any) fund or awareness raising campaign, it's going to stay stagnant.

There's plenty more they could do. Why not have local chapters?

Respectfully, this is NOT the time to point fingers at a given "organization" and or "leader" in a public forum where these kinds of thoughts may diminish the effectiveness of our collective fight. Think of an increase in apathy. If you have thoughts then the best way is to send an email/form to the respective "organization" and or "leader" jam packed with respectful, candid, and civil details.

I'm quite sure that if say Julie, Lou, or Ray had the opportunity to respond to your thoughts, then your perspective might be different. Trust me, I've corresponded (on background) with all three privately and I don't mince words. For me, it was always a learning experience since I don't walk in their shoes. Sometimes we agreed and other times we did not but that's to be expected.

Color me "disappointed" and the last time I saw these kinds of finger pointing posts on ECF was with Lou/AEMSA.

Just some food for thought and my 2 cents.

Stay Strong! Fight! Stock Up!

:)
I'm sorry too. If I were in their shoes I'd be all over this thread like stink on censored.

They encourage donations and purchasing swag, etc.

Roundabout asking.

Which most don't respond to.

Yes, I've given also.

No volunteers?

Facebook Discussion with an ill informed Human.
After Quotes on 59%+ less harmful than smoking, with RCP Reference,
Cleaner than normal Air Exhale - Dr F.,Same Rederick!

Finally found the right Question to ask a non-Smoker to shut them up...

Me: Okay, please advise me on the Unhealthy aspect of Vaping?

Him: like i said. you are putting a foreign substance into your lungs that does not naturally belong there repeatedly. hundreds of times a day.

Me: Yet you are not defining any harm? We swallow millions of particles every day with every breath. Please explain the Claimed harm.

Him:

I guess he is trying to Google something :lol::lol:

His comeback: you said it yourself. 95% safer. what about that 5%??

Me: I said At Least(could end up 100%) and don't forget those particles you and I inhale Daily.:D

For someone who runs her mouth about health it looks like she could lose a few lbs. I don't normally make note of that because it wouldn't hurt me to lose a few pounds myself but then I don't judge others like she does. People who live in glass houses.....

Got a reply from my senater. very vague answer that says, run along young thug, run along. However I am glad they took the time to respond:
Thank you for contacting me about the sale of tobacco and e-cigarettes.

The Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act, which was signed into law in 2009, gives the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) broad statutory authority to regulate the manufacture, distribution, advertising, sale, and use of cigarettes and other tobacco products. Among its provisions, the law prohibits the sale of tobacco products to any person under age eighteen. This year, the FDA issued a final rule that extends regulatory authority to e-cigarettes, cigars, and pipe tobacco, deeming that these products meet the statutory definition of "tobacco product."

Prior to passage of this rule, cigars and e-cigarettes were largely unregulated. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the percentage of U.S. middle and high school students who use electronic cigarettes more than doubled from 2011 to 2012. The study also found that over 75 percent of middle and high school students who used e-cigarettes within the past 30 days also smoked conventional cigarettes in the same period.

Public health has been a priority of mine throughout my career in public service. During my term as Governor, we passed a smoking ban in restaurants with exceptions for outdoor areas and establishments with separately ventilated smoking rooms. Private clubs were also exempt from the ban. Virginia spends millions each year on illnesses related to secondhand smoke, and addressing health care costs is important.

On May 1st, 2015, Representative Tom Cole introduced the FDA Deeming Authority Clarification Act, legislation that would exempt some manufacturers from the required pre-market review of tobacco products under current law. This legislation has been referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

I will be sure to keep your views in mind should the Senate consider legislation affecting tobacco and e-cigarette regulation. Thank you again for contacting me.

Sincerely,

Kind of shocked that they're also an advocate for chew (smokeless tobacco).

Likely because you've bought into the lie that all tobacco products are dangerous. American chew and dip are almost totally harmless.

will companies manufacturing in China have to follow these regs?
Nope. I know of 3 that are laughing at the FDA right now. A little discreet packaging with no logos and labeling such as "light bulbs" goes a long way.

I wouldn't underestimate the temptation for a little FDA azz-kissing. And it wouldn't surprise me if Johnson Creek (depending on their current hormone levels today) will most likely jump on this.

How can the FDA count on me to make my bread, pies, cakes......most anything in my kitchen in a sanitary environment, with healthy ingredients and in a prescribed manner? Wonder what PMTA the Colorado "brownies" had to go through. :(
But wait! You mean your kitchen isn't ISO certified?

And don't tell me you share pies with your friends and neighbors ? Oh, the horror!
