Ha! Several ladies in another thread I frequent have requested lace curtains for their cells IF there is a window. :) We're making a list of our favorite authors too and making sure our SO's know what to bring on "visiting day." Of course, our plans weren't over trouble with bumper stickers; but more in line of "running the back roads." :)

I finally understand why people decide to go "off grid". We are really not free at all. Our free choices are snatched from us, to to line the pockets of others.

I am PEEVED ROYALLY that the Government of this country is not seen as damn near as bad those that bring harm to our shores.
480,000 Lives Lost Annually, that's 1315 PER DAY - due to continuing to Allow and now obscure Support of Combustible tobacco.
1315 every single day this year..........
Government By the Pocket and for the Pocket.:grr:

Yes, many people will needlessly die from otherwise preventable forms of cancer as a direct consequence of the government's malicious, unethical and unwarranted attack on vaping. But... profits for big $$$ special interest groups and government tax revenues will flourish. People (like those participating in this thread) who understand what's -really- going on and more importantly why it's happening, become angry and upset and rightfully so. Unfortunately, only an insignificantly small percentage of the population will ever actually know (or care to know) the truth. Most people (thanks to government contrived propaganda and a complicit news media) see this unfolding in an entirely different light than we do. They've been made to believe vaping is as bad or worse than smoking and will "cheer" the results of government regulation/taxation as a step in the right direction. In the end truth and fact are irrelevant, public perception is all that really matters. In the macro view, vaping is just one of many instances where our government readily and knowingly trades human lives in exchange for revenue and or enhanced corporate profits, this is nothing new. Their war on vaping is just the tip of an iceberg, most of which still remains concealed beneath a murky ocean of government propaganda.

Welcome to the "real" world Neo but avoid taking the red pill, the rabbit hole runs far deeper than most could imagine...

Just saw this and am wading through it... The Facts on the FDA's New Tobacco Rule
If you're not back by next Thursday we'll send search parties. Honestly though, I've read that before and can't help but feel this document is a treasure trove of evidence for legal experts that can only help our cause.

So the fda can self medicate me with their approved nicotine, but I can't do it myself with vaping.
Because it looks like smoking.

Similar to why kindergarteners are suspended from school because they make their hands and fingers mimic a gun. And god help the little tykes if they dare point that finger/muzzle at anyone.

You have to wonder if Rep Collin Peterson saw A Billion Lives at the screening in DC.

I posted the picture of Duncan Hunter vaping in congress last year:
B72BqqwIMAIUI1Z.jpg

And, as a follow-up, this past article that mentions some who vape on capital hill:
Sen. Lautenberg wants to snuff out electronic cigarettes

"The battery-operated device, known as an electronic cigarette, looks like a normal cigarette, but contains no tobacco and instead of smoke emits a nicotine vapor when the user inhales. Reps. Cliff Stearns (R-Fla.), Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.) and Collin Peterson (D-Minn.) have all been spotted using the device on Capitol Hill."

So while he may have seen the video, the fact that he vapes probably has something to do with it :- )

Actually, I think I had a worse roommate in college. Besides, even under the worst outcome with these regs, there's nothing they can do to me as an end user or making anything for my personal use. But if I give you a coil I rolled for your use as a gift, I guess I'll have to pass it under the table.

Great find man! You would have to think that the majority of Congress have witnessed first hand a friend or family member kicking the smoking habit with vaping over the last few years. And probably noticed the improved health to go along with it. Of course their hands may be tied for political reasons to oppose vaping at all costs. Would be nice to see hr 2058 continue to pick up cosponsors (and most importantly D cosponsors).

All these years I've seen visitors coming to NY to go on shopping sprees for stuff they can't get at home. If things really do get shut down here, I'll guess I'll find out what that feels like if I have to go to London for vape shopping sprees.
Not that dissimilar than the US job market. If it gets much worse, Americans will cross the border illegally and look for jobs in Mexico. :)

So at the end what will happen to the companies that sale pure nicotine? ( not ejuice ) will they go back to being a pesticide?
A good question and it's been asked before.

Short answer: nobody here knows diddly-squat about anything. Right now though the nic suppliers are in heaven. (And if you happen to sell guns AND nicotine at the same time you actually own a piece of the pearly gates).

All I'll say is if the FDA can deem firmware upgrades as tobacco they can pretty much do whatever they want unchallenged.

Of course for most of us, there will be no problems. It's the poor .......s down the road who will never know what it's truly like to walk in our vape shoes.

Been there. Done that.

Apparently, it was a dreadful emergency that needed IMMEDIATE attention.

Priorities
