Upwards to 90% of people who have a mental health issue smoke cigarettes. I assume a lot are switching to vaping. This makes me even angrier that the so called "Detriot Wayne Mental Health authority" is putting out this dangerous propaganda.

And that is why it would be good if a Michigan Resident wrote their State and Federal Reps to know why the DWMHA is spending Tax Payers Monies of such Mis-Leading Tripe.

And should CC the e-Mail or Letter to Every Michigan News Agency they can obtain a Contact address for.

Blowing up a FB account is Great. But when are we going to Start Using the Media to Point Out these Agenda Based, Non-Scientific, Attacks on e-Cigarettes?

If vaping is a mental health issue that could make us a protected class.

Oh, then we should be able to invoke the ADA to seek protection.

This^^^^^
It makes me so effin angry that they are pushing this bs on people who smoke because nicotine helps with their mental health issues. Vaping gives you the nicotine without all the chemicals and carcinogens. Grrrr....

But if the State can keep people with mental illness smoking instead of vaping, their life expectancy will remain shorter, thereby the decreasing health care costs. That will leave even more money for billboards (and some officials wallets fat).

Deeming Regulations For Vaping: Policy Maker Files Suit Against FDA | Guide To Vaping

Larry W Faircloth Vs The FDA
Eariler today, Larry Faircloth, a West Virginia delegate who has spent the last several months doing everything in his power to prevent the Governor of that state enacting sin taxes on life changing products, handed me a document to share with the world. The vaping community was aware that he was planning to file suit against the FDA, but the various details have been with-held from public view… until now.
time for bed.

You are Missing it. The Intent is Not for the Media to print the Letter(s). The Intent is to put a Rep on Notice that it is more than a Single Individual who is Involved in all of this.

The Media really doesn't care if you Write your Reps. But the Hint of Improper Use of Public Funds or the concept of a Local/State Funded program that Hurts Small Businesses thru False and or Mis-Leading Propaganda (there's that word again) make media writers Smile.

Good :)

Now I can go , beat some FDA goon to a pulp and claim not guilty.
Cut I wasn't quite myself - temporarily destabilized mentally cuz I had me a vape... :D

Seriously now - mental health issues are no trifling matter.
The dough they spent for that billboard is now missing where it's needed more.
Disgusting...

That is exactly why I am so freaking angry right. :-x

The money that is going into the production of these billboards should go to a mental health clinic. To provide for people who do not have insurance or cannot afford their meds. It is downright criminal!!!

even better a full name....wonder how many skeletons are in their closet...lol,, probably abuse, kickbacks, drug dealings. how many people have they actually cured?

Sometimes all it Takes is someone to Start Peeling the Onion Skin back. And that someone is Usually the Media.

Funny thing. If Public Funds are being used to Fund this Billboard(s), then that funding is/should be part of the Public Record.

This is from the DWMHA site, maybe write to this person about the waste of money on the billboard with a helpline that doesn't appear to 'help' since he says:

'I have an open mind," Calley said. "I want more money going to people. I don't have a loyalty to government structures. I have a loyalty to getting more money to consumers."

I can't find contact information for the Lt. Governor on the website but...
    Snyder - Contacts

Apparently they want to remind us that it's...
    Purple! For Alzheimer's Awareness Month

I wonder if they are aware of the fact that nicotine is used for treating Alzheimers?

    EDIT:
Oh for the love of God, the information to contact the Lt. Governor was right NEXT to the tab I clicked and then posted the link for. Thanks to zoidMan for posting the contact link that I couldn't find, even though I damn near had to step over it.
