Well, the world has kind of ignored Sweden and snus.
But maybe things will be different this time.
Sweden has less than 10 million people. The UK has 65 million. Easier to blow off a country the size of metro NYC versus a much larger country we view as our closest ally. But I agree with your implication...it shouldn't matter. :)

Why would They? It seems perfectly acceptable(TO THEM) to unjustly TAX a sub-portion of Citizens for a problem Created by an Industry.
OMG, don't attack the industry, Attack the people it has enticed/Addicted.

Fair National Regulation for all!

I vape three flavors (in order of preference)

1) tobacco
2) tobacco
3) Tobacco

While I enjoy some of the fruit, dessert, and beverage flavors they hold my interest for maybe an hour and I've had more than enough before I crave my tobacco. I guess I can be compared to coffee drinkers (though I don't drink coffee). They can drink tea but take their coffee away and they go mental. :D

Sadly, you are their Perfect Example or Tobacco only flavoring:facepalm: Not your fault, but there you have it.
Meanwhile they will ignore that after 45yrs smoking, I Quit cold with Vanilla Flavor and moved on to Fruits and others until settling in on Dark Flavors.
RWHY4 is an Excellent Blend - my ADV for almost 3 years
Milk Chocolate Toffee Cappuccino - a main stay
New Orleans King Cake - an excellent Vape with coffee

Nope, no tobacco for this 62yr old kid!:D

I Vape
I Vote

Totally agree. But if you're an insurance company and want to lower your costs then what better way than to cure/alleviate a giant health cost (e.g., tobacco related diseases)? This is why insurance companies want people to get colonoscopies at age 50. A lot cheaper to deal with it then before it's too late. And as we know, insurance companies carry a lot of weight in this country....for better or worse.
Many Insurance Companies are Vested in Tobacco Stocks :glare:

...

They're just hoping someone else will take care of the problem, that's what the FDA and powers in control are banking on.

Bottom line is there should be a riot with pitchforks and torches at the castle gates. Sad reality is there isn't and that's why the people continually get screwed because they want someone else to get involved and fix it for them.

Some are.

And some have No Plans to be involved in the e-Cigarette Market going further than 24 Months. Or when their Lease on their Storefront Expires. So it's all about make as Much as you can as Fast as you can and then Bail.

And some, even though that they see a Real Possibility that they will be Run Out of the Market, continue to Inform their Employees and Customers as to what is going on. And ways that Individuals (as well as other B&M's) can Help and try to STOP some of this Madness.

Unfortunately, IMO, the Former Far Outnumber the Later.

BTW - All that was said Above can also, IMO, be said about Online Retailers.

I find this article truly depressing:

Why vaping can’t survive.

Besides what we read in other articles (corruption, etc.), he throws in the additional vultures from within the vaping community/industry and nanny Big Government politicians who can't bear the thought that Citizens can find solutions that don't involve the government.

It can absolutely be healthier. Inhaling an antibacterial may prove very healthy. Nic has known health benefits. I very much disagree that vaping has to be less healthy.

And it is far healthier than many foods most people ingest. That's a no-brainer. Diabetes affects a larger population than smokes cigs. And supposedly takes the same number of years off one's life. The difference is that no one can be sure they are not at risk of diabetes, where otherwise you either smoke or you don't .
Sucking all that stuff into our lungs cannot be healthier than not sucking it in there.
Then comparing it to unhealthy diets?
That was not my point, Vaping is less unhealthy than lots of things we do but not more healthy than not vaping.

In case you have not seen this thread, another chemist from RTS vapes has started. You can ask him anything about flavors, etc. here
Ask The Chemist
Thread is short enough to read through.

I was sitting at my work station staring at my mod and thinking about what might happen. A co-worker came up and asked me what was wrong. Now this guy is a good ole fellow with about 65 years of life under his belt. I told him what was going on with the FDA. Keep in mind that our facility is tobacco / vape free facility. He looks at me and says F the FDA. He then reaches into his pocket, grabs a stinky, lights it up and take 3 good drags before putting it out. I was in shock. But I loved his attitude. I explained his way of life wasn't as threatened as mine. He sad there is always a way around the tree that's standing in the way.

Yep I have called and emailed all of my reps both state and federal.
Will continue to do such things.
But I have prepped to cover my .... for vaping. And can help a few friends too.
Rose colored glasses are nice but do not trump the probable reality.

I see. So if someone is, say, 40 years old and lives to 80 is it possible to,

A) Afford to buy 40 years of vape stuff all at once, and...
B) be assured it wont go bad before he/she turns 80 (especially given the investment stated in A)?
Great question! I'm 49 and plan on (hoping) living into my 90's Everything I do concerning stereo equipment, how I'll be listening to my music collection, and vaping supplies is under the, "next 40 years" assumption.
