To clarify my position on politicians Johnson included.
They should all just die a horrible death. Virtually none of them are in there for the right reasons.
We have no leaders just rulers.

And with that I will just drop from all political discussions.
Wrong wording, it's "Representatives". Leaders are just another way of saying Rulers. They are supposed to work for us, instead they are working for the ruling class.

@Lessifer Petition!!!

Fight the FDA - Get the word out!

Spend just 1/10 the time you so here, Posting to FB and Twitter, Writing to Congress/Representatives or Contacting your States B&M's and things will start to happen. A Snow man Starts from s single snowball, a Beach from a single Grain of sand.

:D
I do along with ranting here and other places. Problem is most all of the businesses, both online and B&M's are not getting the word out.

Well, it Took the UK quite a Few years to come around........and if your thinking 3 or even 5 years, you would be wrong.

Some scientists agree. "If nicotine could be provided in a form that is acceptable and effective as a cigarette substitute, millions of lives could be saved," reported the U.K.'s Royal College of Physicians' tobacco advisory group in 2007.

I see. So if someone is, say, 40 years old and lives to 80 is it possible to,

A) Afford to buy 40 years of vape stuff all at once, and...
B) be assured it wont go bad before he/she turns 80 (especially given the investment stated in A)?
Well if someone has to buy it all at once maybe they should have been paying attention to what a lot of people have been saying and the pending regulations. It's not like we've had what? 4 years or so now to prepp? I only got into vaping a year ago, about six months in I heard about the FDA B.S. coming down and started prepping. I've got enough for myself to last well past 40+ years which I highly doubt I'll even come close to growing that old. I've been in Prep for family and friends mod as of late. Anyway there are a lot of sales out there and if one uses their head it really isn't that expensive let alone hard to get prepped for decades in the next couple of months. Example I just bought 2 liters of good quality 100mg nic juice for $80, that's good for a couple decades. What does someone pay for cable TV a month?

Priorities ;)

I'm the same. Vaping for 7 months and set for life. I spent a lot on NIC, replacement Nautilus coils as well as wire and RBAs, extra mods, lots of tanks, etc. but am glad I did. Worst case? All the FDA/govt crap goes away and I don't have to buy any more vaping gear. Happy problem.

Only other advice I have is do yourself a huge favor. Buy a couple good quality Mech's. Worst case scenario is you'll never use them and they're very easy to sell, but if you need it you're pretty much bullet proof and unlike regulated mods they hold their value ;)

"Now that these products have been given PMTA marketing orders, they may be introduced into interstate commerce. The company is required to report regularly to the FDA with information regarding the products on the market, including, but not limited to, advertising, sales data, information on current and new users and adverse experiences. The FDA may withdraw a marketing order if it determines that the continued marketing of a product is no longer appropriate for the protection of the public health, among other reasons."
Wait, what?

So not only is this is like a rigged lottery...
With a ticket that costs millions...

But even if you win they can take your ticket away whenever they want?

O say can you see,
by the dawn's early light,
what so proudly we hailed
at the twilight's last gleaming,
whose broad stripes and bright stars,
through the perilous fight,
o'er the ramparts we watched,
were so gallantly streaming...
And the rocket's red glare,
the bombs bursting in air,
gave proof through the night
that our flag was still there.
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
o'er the land of the free
and the home of the brave...

If one assumes that these empty suits(FDA)have more than 2 brains cells that rub together, one would have to conclude they expect not much of the deeming regs will fly and come to past. If they really believe it will then they have been consuming their own drugs. Wonder how they sleep at night?

Are we about to see every major vape hardware company out there be bought up by big tobacco? Is big tobacco going to bring out a rebranded Kangertech dripbox?

Ballistics also apply in lawmaking :)

Regulating is what they are all about. Control freaks. FFF ( FileFolderFetishists ). Prompted by their sponsors, they went completely overboard, expecting that this would be contested.

Just like shooting at a far away target, you need to aim at a point above the target to account for gravity and drag.

Highly doubt it. America is known for reverse-engineering products. Much cheaper that way than to buy out anything. Then hopefully Chinese companies will really get into battle with BT.

I honestly don't understand what your problem with Sen. Johnson is. Seriously... We have all been asked to petition our lawmakers--vapers and businesses alike--and beg them to help save vaping. I did it, hopefully you did it also, so did Johnson Creek, CASAA, SFATA, AEMSA, etc... We have a right to petition the Government. Why are you insinuating that the Senator and/or Johnson Creek did something wrong????
I would very much like links to the info you posted about him, and Johnson's Creek.

I don't know what Mr. Cromwells issue is with Sen. Johnson and Johnson Creek. Personally don't know much about Sen. Johnson other than he is in a nasty reelection campaign and is trailing in the polls by a decent margin. My assumption was that Johnson Creek contributed to his campaign so he wrote a couple of letters. Seems a little like grandstanding if he has no intention to follow through with a subpoena, but whatever, politicians gonna do what politicians do.

I do have a problem with Johnson Creek though. They came out in support of the proposed deeming regulations in 2014 when almost all other vendors were against it. At the time they had just sold 50% of their company to Republic Tobacco and thought that the extra financial muscle will let them navigate through the PMTA. They were perfectly fine letting the FDA eliminate their competition, but when they realized that even they won't be able to navigate the PMTA waters, they did a 180. Hypocrites.

Possibly. I agree with you about Johnson Creek, BTW. As for the good senator, I have no idea what his intentions were/are. But the fact is that he did send a letter to the FDA, and then a follow-up letter, a bit stronger than the first one. My thinking is that the more we shower him with letters and emails and thank you notes, the harder it will be for him to just forget that he ever wrote those letters. If he realizes that there are thousands or tens of thousands of people waiting for his next step and cheering him on, he may have to take it. ;) So I keep writing to him and hoping that my fellow vapers are doing the same.

You may also contact the Senator on his FB page and on Twitter, or send him a letter.

I understand your point. We should appreciate any effort on our behalf, motivations are of secondary importance. The thing is i never really thought anything will come of this, and frankly i was a little baffled by the excitement generated here on ECF. But yeah, it's better that he wrote letters than if he hadn't. Personally haven't written to any politician outside of my state, but if writing might encourage him to not jettison this issue, then obviously it's a good thing :)
